Hello,

We, by the grace of God, have been very lucky so far to have our application for K-1 move very quickly.

My fiancee is set to have her interview at the Pakistan Embassy next month. Between NOA1 and NOA2, her name has been spelled correctly. However, when the Pakistan Embassy sent her the first forms to fill out and send back and when they sent her interview appointment letter, her last name had one incorrect letter in it. All other documents including NOA1, NOA2 have the correct spelling.

Does anybody have any ideas/suggestions on how this can be remedied? I am almost thinking not to make this an issue and just let them know at the interview since the visa will be issued on her passport.

Any clues?

Thanks!

Remember such things are consulate sensitive, so to speak. In Ukraine (Kyiv) it is not a problem. My wife ,ade an error in her son's birthdate n his DS-230 and they caught it and just asked her to correct it. Were it me, I would bring it to their attention at the interview and let them correct it. In general the consulates don't get too conserned about an oddball clerical error. Now, if every document you had contained a different spelling, that would be different, but I think any reasonable person can understand what happeened. Maybe some other with experience at the Pakistan embassy can chime in.

I'd try to contact them (the embassy) in advance, via phone, email, or letter. Most likely, you can fix this at the interview, but it won't hurt to try giving them a heads-up about the error to avoid delay.
