Okay I'm finally filling out the I-129F and we have a slight problem with my fiance's place of birth.

His birth certificate says Redditch and his passport says Bromsgrove. The hospital he was born in is right on the border and for some reason when he applied for his passport they changed what he wrote down (Redditch) to Bromsgrove.

Which town should we go by? Birth certificate or passport?

Maybe that will not be answer that you need. But your fiance need to bring a birth certificate in his interview on embassy (when time come), or maybe you can put both names and explain why you are do that. When i was in interview in embassy i am bring my birth certificate, probably that they see that i am that guy who sent that I-129, but they are not check much. I wish you luck and short time in all that process.

I would choose the one on his BC. HOwever, I would also include a response to that question on the same page as you answer your question #18. Or, perhaps a separate page wouldn't hurt, just to point out the discrepancy and that his Gov't nadvertenly transposed the wrong info on his passport. :)

Dammit!!!! I hate when they do that! Couldn't someone have decided to put the hospital in one place or another??? On this one, go with the birth certificate. :)

I'd put the Birth Certificate birthplace, they can't argue with that. Well, they may be able to but its the most 'official' birthplace.

 Sounds appropriate to me
