I ordered two Stellas at the pub, and handed one to my man.

Stella was my gateway beer. When I was in Brussels, I met this couple at the hostel, UK/US. Somehow, I ended up going to Amsterdam with them. Anyway, when we were in the train station in Brussels waiting for the train to Amsterdam, we stopped in this bar. I didn't really have any interest in drinking (this was before I liked beer), but they sure as hell did. I wanted to eat a baguette. They kept ordering me Stellas. I finally said to myself "Ya know what? Stop being a ##### betoch and sipping it and just chug it like you mean it!". And there, in that train station, about 10 days before I met my husband I learned to drink beer and like it. This was important, because there was much alcohol involved on the evening I met my husband. I don't know how much we drank. Enough that my husband asked me how I could speak English all the time because it was a hard language. Twas lot, but I doubt I would have drank so much if it wasn't for that couple in Brussels with the Stellas.
