thanks guys. I'm at the end of my rope. I'm ready to walk away. I can't stand all the fighting that is going on in my household between my boys (along with everything else that's been up in the air). Something has got to give..or somebody.... coz I am tired. I'm really tired... :crying:

HEY AMAL! I was just thinking about you, wondering how the repairs were coming along.

I had a really bad last 2 weeks, I mean it seemed worst than I had had in too too long. But it cant always be sunny in philadelphia.

So, this week I am trying to relax and keep it together. I pray for you girl. If you need to vent you can PM me.

What fighting is going on between your boys?

Amal, I sure hope that things go well for your mom. Her appointment is tomorrow, right? Please keep us posted on how it goes. I will surely keep you in my thoughts. (F)

I went through SO many emotions when my dad got sick and having to take care of our son when Hicham was still in Morocco. I'm sure you wish you only had to focus on one crisis at the time.

PLEASE, PLEASE know that you can PM me ANYTIME if you need. Your grief and your pain is your own and I can't know how it feels for you...I can just sympathize with you having taken the walk. Definitely here if you need a friend. :)

ok...nurses advice REQUESTEDDD

They did the lung biopsy (my mama spells it bioptsy...which is the right way)...anyway...they said that one of the lesions that was on the back side of her lung would be the best to get the sample from. They had to go between her ribs. She said it was worse pain than giving birth to me (almost 11 pounds) naturally.

They pushed a little bit too hard and poked a hole in her lung :( . It deflated halfway. They kept her 2 hours, did an x-ray, and no better. Waited another 2 hours , did another x-ray, and still not better. They sent her home and said to come back tomorrow for more x-rays and hopefully her lung will "fix itself"....

She has started wheezing and coughing. She can't talk long coz it takes the wind out of her too fast. They are nervous that she may develop pneumonia. They are also concerned that IF the lesion is cancerous....since they poked a hole through her lung from the middle of the lesion...would her lungs then get the cancer inside them...

NURSES, READ HERE.... how do they go about "patching' up a hole in someones lung? I have a really really bad feeling about this one guys :( HELPPP

OMG! Amal!

Don't have any advice...just sending you thoughts and prayers, especially for your mom. (F)

A coworker here punctured his lung awhile back from a broken rib and I know it tooks some time for it to heal. Definitely didn't happen overnight.

SO sorry that you guys are going through this. :(

I can't believe they sent her home! I think they should have kept her in the hospital for observation.

That's what I think too! I was not happy when I heard they sent her home!!! She went back today and they did another x-ray. They said it's "better" but not "fixed" yet and it is still not inflating. I'm kind of in the state of disbelief at the moment ..... arggggggg :girlwerewolf2xn:

Oh Amal, I'm so sorry you're going through all this. I hope your mother's lung heals soon, although from the sounds of it, it's going to be slow.

By your boys fighting do you mean your hubby and son? That's a tough one. My last husband was 25 when I married him, and my youngest son was 12. They fought like brothers and drove me nuts. After we got divorced my son didn't really seem to miss my husband until he got into his late teens and developed a monster appetite. Then he commented often that he missed my ex's cooking. I was lucky this time around because my sons were grown and Abdel just treats them like friends. My youngest adores Abdel and Abdel adores him, so thank goodness I don't have to deal with that issue. Unfortunately if that's the problem you're dealing with, it seems to be one of those things that teen (or pre-teen) boys go through and when the step-father isn't terribly mature it can get crazy. I don't really have any advice if that's what you're going through, just hugs.

seriously! im so suprised the released her when they risk such a liability for their screw up!

I would call and advocate for your mom, it sounds like you might have to.

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Amal, this is so sad! I totally feel a lawsuit coming on. That's crazy what they did...and to let her go home like that. Maybe you should try and get the hospital to at least send one of those at home nurses, since they dont' seem to want to observe her at the hospital. I pray that your mom heals soon, and I reallyyyy hope the results of the biopsy is negative. *hugs*
