- How long did it take you to get pregnant the first time? Days? Weeks? Months? Years? - 2.5 years (30 cycles of good timing); it was our third IUI that worked.

- When did you first suspect that you might be pregnant? What tipped you off? - I had no clue, so the pregnancy test.

- When were you pretty sure? What did very early pregnancy feel like to you? Any different? - I was only confident our dream would finally come true when I had a scan at 7 weeks.

- How soon did you take an actual pregnancy test and get a definite answer? How many tests did you take? lol- 14 days after ovulation I took my first test. It showed a clear line. How many did I take? 2 that day, 3 the next day (all different brands), and some internet cheapies almost every day till the ultrasound.

- Did you have the traditional pregnancy symptoms? eg. morning sickness. When did it kick in? - no morning sickness at all, despite being pregnant with twins! I had tingly breasts from a few days before I took the test, but also had this on unsuccessful cycles. I got really tired from 5 weeks 3 days onwards. I had cravings (for green beans and apple juice) from 7 weeks 5 days.

1. Just one try

2. I didn't suspect anything :star:

3. After the test. I took 2, both were VERY positive

4. I took 2 tests when I had 10 days delay.

5. I had a terrible morning sickness that kept me in bed for 2 months. And pretty much everything else except for back pain.

But it wa so worth it. My Mason is the best!

1) first time

2)the first missed period

3)no difference right at first

4) a week after missed period (1 test, then off to the dr for conformation)

5) no morning sickness, but i was EXHAUSTED for about 1.5 months (at around 1 month pregnant)....

after that I thoroughly enjoyed being preggos. I loved it actually!

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Well a lot of your questions are the same or tie together so I'll just write it out.

I was on birth control so I wasn't actually trying to get pregnant. Because of that I didn't even have a clue I was pregnant until I missed my period. At that point a test came immediately and confirmed my suspicions. From that point on it was like I wasn't even pregnant. No morning sickness, no cravings, nothing. But about week 30? I think...things went downhill. Horrible sciatica, pain in my hips, just in general problems with walking. So I paid dearly for an uneventful first two trimesters.

- How long did it take you to get pregnant the first time? Days? Weeks? Months? Years?

Within 4 weeks.

- When did you first suspect that you might be pregnant? What tipped you off?

Missed period.

- When were you pretty sure? What did very early pregnancy feel like to you? Any different?

Not sure at all. I didn't feel any different just had missed my period.

- How soon did you take an actual pregnancy test and get a definite answer? How many tests did you take? lol

I took 4 tests...kept saying oh maybe its not right. Then when I finally made it to my OB/GYN and told her I took 4 tests to confirm, she said honey the 99.9% accuracy is for when they come up negative NOT positive.:lol:

- Did you have the traditional pregnancy symptoms? eg. morning sickness. When did it kick in?

I was tired the first 12 weeks, then nothing. No morning sickness. My pregnancy was amazing. I went full term (39.5 weeks) with our twins and worked till my 38th week. Thank god it was good! (F)

Not a mother yet, but my answers are in bold regarding this pregnancy.

I know this could go in the surveys section but then I'd have to make up answers for you to pick!

- How long did it take you to get pregnant the first time? Days? Weeks? Months? Years?

Took us 11 months after stopping birth control (I'm of "advanced maternal age," as they call it ;) )

- When did you first suspect that you might be pregnant? What tipped you off?

I'd forgotten to chart anything that particular month except the first day of the cycle (that was the first month we didn't try to time ovulation and so forth). One night I was grouchy for no reason and having hot flashes even though the weather was cold. Didn't feel like the usual PMS. Checked the calendar on a whim and realized I was a couple days late.

- When were you pretty sure? The next evening, when I took a test. What did very early pregnancy feel like to you? Any different? Not much different, except that the bb's got bigger and very sore.

- How soon did you take an actual pregnancy test and get a definite answer? The afternoon after I realized I was late. Got a weak positive. How many tests did you take? lol I think five (took one every couple weeks for a while -- a bit compulsive there).

- Did you have the traditional pregnancy symptoms? eg. morning sickness. When did it kick in? Had a little nausea from maybe week 4 to week 9 or so, usually in the evening, and never very much (no vomiting at all). I did lose my appetite for most of the first trimester -- not many foods appealed to me. Wish I could have had that symptom during the first part of my life!

I'm the USC.
