Oh yes, I'm more than excited, it's funny I tell everybody how many days left before I go home, my home in Peru. We have already plenty of plans.

LaN is definitely the best airline to go to Peru, prices for Christmas still the same so we are happy that we are going this August.

Peter'n Jamie I think you are generalizing, not all teenagers and girls in the mid 20's are the same, there are cheap women everywhere, I can say the same thing about american women specially when I have to take the train to go to work (I live in NYC). Sorry it might sound that I'm taking it a little personal, maybe I am. I had similar experiences with my hubby, girls trying to hit on him when we go clubbing but I'll never hit them just give them a dirty look and say "LARGUENSE!"

Susita Sil's favorite dish is Jalea!!!!! he loves it too, same thing with choritos a la chalaca, he doesn't know how to pronounce it, he sounds so cute. Sorry for not writing to you on the hi5, we have been a little busy, I'll try to write to you tomorrow, we are planning to go to the beach, we go to Robert Moses, hopefully we'll have a beautiful day.

Good night amigos

Vi ~ I love Robert Moses Beach, we usually go there! Cuando Luis este aca, tenemos que planear algo, a el le encanta la playa, he's a surfer, haha. claro pues, es de San Bartolo, que mas puede ser? jaja

I have been stressing out because I got a RFE which they are going to mail to me and I don't know what it's for, so I am kind of nervous. Plus, somebody stole Luis's phone when he was on the combi yesterday on the way to San Bartolo, so I have been pretty worried about him.

Have a great weekend! I hope you have a great time on your trip too!

Jaime ~ I told you your husband is just too good looking. Take Vi's advice, put your foot down. I don't know what I would have done if anyone would have disrespected like that. I'm a NewYorker you know, things might have gotten ugly. LOL

Vi,

No offense was intentional, just wondering if anyone else had the same experience and how they dealt with it. And the comment about hitting them was a joke by my Peruvian family and I was never in any fights.

susita,

What part of New York are you from? I used to live in New York state but have since moved to North Carolina.

I was born in Riverhead and lived in East Moriches till I was 10. I love it there but its soo expensive to live!!! NC is great because its one of the fastest growing areas in the country so there is alot of opportunities for working and going to school. The weather is also very nice. NO SNOW

Susita

We had an awesome time at Robert Moses, we usually go to Field 2.

Don't worry about the RFE, we got one when I was applying for my Permanent GC, after two years of living here, they wanted more proof of our marriage, I got SO upset and Sil too. But after we sent the extra documentation everything went fine.

Let me know when are you coming to the city maybe we can meet someday.

Peter 'n Jamie

Don't worry chica, I'm not upset or anything, I'm pretty pacific, hahaha.

I'm VERY jealous and I'll be upset if I see girls trying to hit on Sil. As I told you before, we had some incidents in the past, once we went dancing and I had to leave to go to the bathroom and two girls were trying to start a conversation with him, when I saw that I just remember that I felt fire coming out from me  and wanted to kicked their .... but just said" 'EN ESTE MISMO MOMENTO DESAPARECEN" or " YOU BETTER DISSAPEAR RIGHT NOW "

Well amigos have a good night!

Vi :star:

Jaime ~ Wow Riverhead? I live in Port Jefferson. Very cool. My family all comes from Queens & Brooklyn though, so I am like half city girl half Long Islander. I would love to get to know more about you, like how you met your hubby, how you liked Peru, etc. Would be cool, 2 Long Island girls marrying Peruvian guys. Awesome.

Vi ~ Glad you had fun! I need to make a trip out to the city I hope to get married there! Need to figure out all the details. I will definetely let you know though, k?

Good Night Guys, work tomorrow!

My mother was born in Brooklyn and I definitely know where Port Jefferson is, my grandmother lived there for a long long time. My Parents moved to the Adirondack park when I was 10. I don't know if you know it but its about 1 hour north of Albany.

I met my husband online at tribelwars.net its a little flash game. I was trying to kill him and he begged for mercy and its been love since then :P How did you and your husband meet? When I was in Peru I only really saw Lima and I was there for two months! I really like how free people are there and I really want to see Machu Picchu and the jungle. What about you what areas did you see in Peru?

Very cool! I met Luis when I started my bachelors, I am just finishing up now. I am getting my BA in Hispanic Languages & Literature, Minor in Latin American & Caribbean Studies and Secondary Education Certification (a lot of stuff! LOL). Well, when I first started out, I was fluent but my spelling wasn't that great and also I was making a lot of errors when I was writing essays the first semester. So I started practicing in a chatroom that is called spanglish chat. Luis was trying to learn English and we were talking. He took my MSN name and then pretty much every day we talked on there. Nothing really happened till one day I was like, hey I have international minutes let's talk on the phone (I had bought a phone card to call my cousin overseas and still had credit on it).

Well, the rest is history. I've been to Peru 2 times, we talk on the phone at least an hour every day, and am almost done with school! Time flies! Luis proposed to me when I went to Peru last time. He threw an engagement party too without me even knowing that it was for that reason, it was really great. I was like, 'what were you going to do if I said no?' and he just laughed.

I stayed in San Bartolo, it was summer when I went so we went beach-hopping (Luis is really into surfing). We went to Santa Maria del Mar, Punta Negra, Punta Hermosa, etc. We stayed on the beach in an apartment in San Bartolo which was really nice. We went to Lurin, Lima (Miraflores, Ate - where his brother's business is, and el centro de Lima), Chosica (which is beautiful we had a really nice time there). It was really great. There's still a lot of places I want to see, Ayacucho, Arequipa, Huancayo etc. I didn't get to go last time. There will be chances in the future though!

How did you like living in Peru for 2 months? I was there for almost one month. What do you do for a living here in the USA? How old are you? (I know this isn't 21 questions, haha) I'm just curious & bored at work.

So you will be teaching? Spanish or history I presume? What do you do now? My husband is trying to teach me Spanish but I am just very bad at it and have so little time to study!! I am also trying that rosetta stone program. None of his family speaks English so I really want to learn Spanish!

How was Peru during the summer? If everything runs smoothly we should have our interview in Lima during their summer. I am so afraid of going during the summer!! I went at the end of April and it was so hot and I got badly sunburned.

Right now I am a full time Master's student getting a degree in Library Science. I had to quit my job when I went to Lima to get married because they would not give me a leave of absence. So currently unemployed but have a bunch of job interviews this week. I am 26. My time in Lima could have been better. For some reason I was very sick there and normally I never even catch colds! But at least I got a first hand view of the Peruvian health care system :)

Oh take a look at this tee shirt. I think you will enjoy it: Check it out

Vi :star:

 Erika's the same way. She hardly ever leaves my side when we're in public. She is very possessive...which I think is a great thing ;) It's one of the things I love about Erika. To me, her being possessive just shows that she really values our relationship.

One night we were out with my family at a restaurant. I was the sober driver, and Erika had drank a few. She had gone to the bathroom, which I didn't know because she was up and running around with our niece and nephew. I felt feminine hands running through my hair, so I assumed it was Erika. Then I saw Erika coming back from the bathroom and thought UH-OH! This isn't going to be pretty. I turned around and saw it was some drunk lady with big boobs in a tight dress who was running her hands through my hair. I told her to stop. Erika struts over with steam coming out of her ears, and I explain to her that I thought it was her behind me. So up until we left, Erika kept giving drunk woman the evil eye and telling her "Don't touch my husband!!" (in her sexy accent :P ). As we were leaving, Erika (being a teeny bit drunk) started calling her some pretty naughty words in English :ranting: ...it was the most fire I had ever seen from her! Her face was completely red  The drunk woman was too scared to look at Erika. My family thought it was quite entertaining to see Erika put the drunk woman in her place.

LOL that's funny.

I don't think neither Luis nor I are that jealous, the only thing was that in Peru he almost got into fight because someone was hitting on me, but to the point that it was so disrespectful that he just freaked out.

So we are jealous with reason, I guess you could say. If a girl was running her fingers thru his hair, I'd be pretty ticked off too.
