I files mine and got it back direct deposit in about 10 days.....I think you get it faster if you do the direct deposit.

10/25/2005 - I-129F packet mailed to TSC

11/03/2005 - NOA 1 from CSC

11/07/2005 - Check cashed

02/03/2006 - NOA2 by e-mail

05/03/2006 - Leave for Jamaica

05/09/2006 - Interview "VISA APPROVED"

05/15/2006 - Return from Jamaica

05/22/2006 - Called off the wedding and Adrian left

we did rapid refund on federal so i got it in a day.

illinois came via direct deposit in 2 days.

March 4, 2004 NOA 1

June 29, 2004 NOA 2

August 26th -- interview date - we need to complete a I-601 waiver so it's back to waiting again

January 6, 2005 i-601 waiver approved!!!!

January 21, 2005 VISA IN HAND

February 12, 2005 WEDDING!!!!!

March 10, 2005 mailed AOS and EAD applications to Chicago

April 18, 2005 EAD and AOS receipt dates for NOA

June 30, 2005 AOS RFE evidence submitted (translated birth certificate)

August 10, 2005 ---EAD approved via infopass appointment

October 18, 2005 - AOS interview in St. Louis - received an RFE for vaccination supplement

February 9, 2006 - denial for AOS letter due to the wrong form being submitted from the doctor. PLEASE MAKE SURE THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN TO YOU!!

February 16, 2006 - USCIS accepts the motion to reopen without an additional fee - finally something goes right! We should hear from USCIS St. Louis office within 2 weeks.

April 3, 2006 - Received welcome to America letter in the mail!

April 8, 2006 - Received GC in the mail - done for 2 years!!!!

March 1, 2008 - mailed off I-751

March 3, 2008 NSC delivery confirmation

March 10, 2008 NOA 1

March 28, 2008 Biometrics appointment

Legal Permanent Resident - just waiting for time to pass for him to have eligibility for citizenship.

Mailed out mine on tuesday.....i did not efile because we ended up owing money!!! :ranting:

Well, we owe on federal and we are getting back from state, although not as much as we anticipated.... but we will make do!

getting my refund in, what, a month? if im lucky? just so long as it's before mid-april (gotta pay off furniture by then)

I aint cool enough for a signature.....

uuuggghhh.... I've owed for the past 3 years. However, I FINALLY changed my number of exemptions last month so next year at this time I should not fear filing. I didn't change it last year because I'm such a donkey so I'll probably owe...AGAIN. Anyway, I have a related question: I have only been legally separated since Oct/Nov 2005. What would be the best way to file?

Married filing separately?

Married filing joint?

Is filing head of household even a legal choice for me? I am head of household NOW but I technically wasn't for most of 2005 (sucks).

When "self-filed with refund" (tax years 1994, 1996-2001), no (took almost 30 days for IRS to transfer funds).

For TY 2004, I filed through Jackson Hewitt and it took about 3 weeks (due to their approach of applying for an RAL--which failed for me, so I had to wait for IRS to send out the cheque).

I filed last week (with same Jackson Hewitt office) and got my MD refund 2/21, federal refund TODAY!

I guess Junglee must be almost wishing he didn't live in a state with NO state income tax (of course, such feeling would only last till the next paycheque) :lol:

2005/11/07 I-129F approved, forwarded to NVC--to Chennai Consulate 2005/11/14

2005/12/02 Packet-3 received from Chennai

2005/12/21 Visa Interview Date
