jeez caro, there is a hundred food with loads of protein, it doesnt have to be cottage. i like to eat cottage like i eat yogurt, as a snack. you can buy single serving, they have with pineapple it's yummy.

Thanks Marilyn, but I don't like fruit. I love veggies, but fruits I've never been able to get past. Only strawberries, rasperries and apples.

I know, but the difference in protein content is huge. They gave me this little nutrition book and the difference was something like 4g of protein for yogurt vs 30g of protein for cottage cheese, and I have to get 40g of protein a day. They are big into nutrition over there

so buy the cottage cheese single serving. don't you eat meat? i get an average og 80 g of protein a day, just buy having yogurt in the morning, half a cup of milk at night, a meal that contains some sort of meat, i eat eggs (omelete) quite often, i add blue cheese to some meals. If you eat a little bit of everything u will get way more than 40. i never eat less than 60g and sometimes i don't even have protein with the main meal or lunch, it's just on the rest of the food.

I have to start that next week. I have to write for two weeks everything I eat so we can go over my nutrition on my next appointment. You are right, I may be getting all the proteins I need anyways, I just want to be extra sure

I had people over for dinner last night and I guess I looked really bad because they all insisted on cleaning everything up for me I was not feeling well yesterday at all. The great news is I slept so late today I missed the rummage sale thingy. YAY! Just waiting for people to get here so we can go to the cabins and go hiking. I really hope my arms behave and allow me to have a fun day outside.

Oh, and to the cottage cheese question: salt and pepper! Yum.

you can make salads with corttage cheese on top. you can make pasta with cottage cheese, like a white sauce or cheese sauce. you can mix with sour cream, soe salt and pepper and use as a spread, on a toast, crackers, etc.
