well i bet my boss thought that was something her boss was supposed to sign, but if her boss sent it back, that means my boss has to do it :dead: another week wait to know about my leave.

Sorry to hear about your leave. I'm having issues with mine as well. My supervisor and boss approved me for 12 wks but HR only wants to give me 6 wks for a vaginal delivery and 8 wk for a c-section. That's what the doctor put on the paperwork when he filled it out (well actually the nurse did it). So now I have to either see if the doctor will redo another form for me approving the 12 wks or I have to take 4-6 wks of unpaid leave. Honestly, this whole maternity leave thing is a pain in the @ss.

I'm sorry you are both having issues with your FMLA. You may want to just go to the department of labor's web site and do some research of your own to help your case. (F)

Saludos,

Caro

Hey Booty, I think you would LUVZ Lisa Scottoline. Check her out, she is the bomb in legal thrillers!

Cool! I'll do that. Hopefully we have some of her books in our browsing section. I'm waiting on the latest John Grisham book to become available. If we have some of her books they'll tide me over till then.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

what I love about Scottoline is that in all her books, the main characters are women. B1tchy cut throat female lawyers. she is awesome!!!

Start with either Dead Ringer or Dirty Blonde

I'm just glad I didn't get caught up in all that mess.

I thought that at first as well when I found out about the Twilight craz.....but then I read them and I'm SOOO glad I got caught up in them, because they are amazing!

I agree with Luis&Laura's comment though, you cannot fairly compare Interview with a Vampire and Twilight as they are written very differently. I'll agree that Stephanie Meyer is not the best writer in the world, and that in lots of ways, the books are very teenish. But, if you can appreciate that, then they are very good books that gave me many hours of entertainment!

Indeed, different audiences. And I must say, as a vampire fiction lover, Meyer did mess with a lot of stuff that is waaaaaay outrageous, even for vamp fiction.

Besides, I have placed Anne Rice on a veto for good since she turned into a born again crazed fanatic. Sad, because her books were freaking awesome.

Because she became a Christian, you won't read her books? I don't know much about her books, haven't read them, or much about her. But I find it odd you would veto someone based on that. I can understand not reading new books that may be about a subject you don't want to read about. Maybe that's what you meant. ?

No, you read it correctly. I do not read books by religious fanatics on principle. Of any sect. Xians, muslims, jewish. I have no interest in what they have to say.

luckily we just paid 1 dollar for the rental.. so it's not that bad at all..

and I don't think it resembles to interview with the vampire.. Lestat and Louis are playas, and don't go bs'ing around with girls.. nor they play 'vampire baseball'

true that, they just kill them

So even if they write a fiction book that has nothing to do with their faith, you won't read it?
