My friend's bday is rescheduled because we have really really bad weather. Tornado warnings all over and lots of tornadoes touching down all around. I think I'm safe. I'm hanging in the basement watching movies :P

We've had just a little rain up here in Indy. The thunder just now started....or maybe it was earlier but I was asleep.

Our wedding was this past November. I had been emailing back and forth with a lady that was going to make one at cost. I stopped receiving responses from her so I don't know what happened. We ended up buying a couple of cakes from Wal-Mart.

The cake I made for my friend was actually floral foam and rolled fondant. The top two layers were real. They had one to cut into and one to put in the freezer for their 1yr anniversary. They bought sheet cakes from Sam's and the "cake" was removed from the room and magically some sliced cake appeared. No one knew it wasn't the cake they just saw :P Fake cakes are great when you're trying to save money.

Lots of people in Brasil make a beautiful cake for the table with just a top part for the bride and groom cake cutting ceremony and then the cake served is actually a different one sliced up and brought out in trays. Also guarantees delicious cake since it doesn't have to be firm or whatever enough to stay stacked up.

Exactly, serving a separate cake is actually a good idea, you can go really moist on the cake without fearing the cake falling appart.

No luck with dress AT ALL. Arg....so frustrating. I did see one that I really liked, but it was a dark red color, so it wouldn't have exactly worked.

I get so frustrated when I shop and don't see anything. :angry:

Tomorrow I have a really busy day. We're supposed to be at his brothers house at 6am and then we're going to some race (I don't know anything about it, except that our tickets are VIP because his brother won them from the radio or something and that there will be free food (enough information for me!)). Then we have to be back in the center by 3 and then dressed and ready for a wedding that we have to go to tomorrow at 4. I'm not looking forward to the business of it all, but I have been assured that there is free food at the race and later at the wedding...so I can't complain too much!

morning. What am i doing here for god's sake???? It is rainy and cr@ppy in Seattle; Bren is out with his dad and I am bored sh1tless.

I hate to do it in this ####### weather buuuuuut...I have to shop for some shirts that don't rub on my armpits :angry: I am also bored sh1tless :P I've been watching House in the kitchen all morning while cleaning it like a mad woman. I've took apart the stove, put new foil under the entire thing so it's easier to clean, cleaned the oven, fridge, and microwave. I love having a TV in the kitchen :)
