CONGRATS !....

If I were you I wouldn't worry about the typo on AP, of course if you are not planning to go abroad with the AP.

Even If you are, you will get your GC earlier than you would get your Corrected AP !.... So your AP is useless right now.

thanks!

it's not a typo, it's pretty confusing lol. my first and last name are correct but my first middle name isn't there, it has my second middle name as my first and my maiden name as my second middle name. for example, say my old name was sally anne jane andrews and my new name was sally anne jane matthews, it says sally jane andrews matthews. i have no clue how that happened!:blink:

i don't need to travel back home at the moment so i will just wait for my greencard and hope it doesn't take too long. :)

As I imagine that the question has been asked at least a dozen times this month alone, is there a useful/general list that "translates" the Interview notice?

I figure that most of the list requests official documentation like current passport, any travel documents, etc, but where I am confused is regarding some of the

more obscure things like "All documentation establishing your eligibility for LPR status"...what on Earth does that mean?

Like I said, I'm not looking to carry out another thread on this, so if someone (ideally from Canada) would either PM or point me to a recent thread that deals with this, it'd be appreciated.

Yes it is very quiet, nothing to report from here in Vermont, since my case was transfered to California.

Despite what VJ says about processing dates for EAD and AP, I filed on 16th FEB and have heard nothing.

USCIS web site denies my case exists with regard to this, though it is now 96 days that I have been waiting.

I don't want to get a Vermont license until I have my 2 year green card so the license will be valid for that length of time.

Thoroughly sick of waiting though.

It seems to me that the Feds are incredibly arrogant and uncaring as to the difficulties people may have to endure whilst undergoing this process and of course each couple includes a US citizen. But I guess if you have a secure relatively well paid job with USCIS you can afford not to give a f*#k about anyone else.

The 'help' number posted on the USCIS site is a joke too. First you interact with a machine, and finally it directs you to a human trained to act like a machine, who is, in effect, no help at all.... and who finally adds insult to injury by asking if there is 'anything else they may help you with today .. sir? Yeah right!

Perhaps I am being unfair to them but I have a low tolerance for officialdom and don't suffer fools gladly.

I believe the great Bill Maher is making a documentary series for HBO called 'The Immigrants' about the absurdities and tribulations of those of us trying to come to this great land legally. Perhaps we VJers should get in touch with him and give him the benefit of our experiences?

Good luck to everyone and congratulations to those of you who has already got the GC

John

Yes you are absolutely right about this. USCIS does not give you a damn about it except your money.

They know that you need them, they just take the advantage of it.

Still waiting to get the Interview notice. *sigh*

Are we the only Feb people that haven't even gotten the interview notice yet?

Local office, San Francisco -- super slow.

Hi

Well this week it will be 90 days since my NOA for EAD and AP. I seem to rememb';[[[[[er that they were supposed to process these within 90 days. Is this correct?

Anything I can do?

TIA

John

I called the Customer Service on thursday 5/22 and asked them to put in a service request because I was close to hitting the 90 day mark on my EAD. I got an email the same day saying that they were working on my application and that I should hear from them in 60 days. So I set an infopass appointment for tuesday (5/26). This morning I received an email from CRIS saying that my card production was ordered on friday 5/23.

Now I have to wait for the interview appointment letter.
