You go into the service centre and they take your fingerprints, your picture and record your signature. That's it.

Make sure you have your appointment letter, your passport and you marriage certifiacate if you've chaged your name.

~ Catherine

thanks for that, i probably would have forgotten the marriage certificate without you. :)

How you guys doing? One brief question; I filled my AOS app on feb 11 andI got the NOAs one week later dated feb 12. I went for biometrics on march 13 and I dont know for what strange reason I cant review my EAD and I485 cases online yet. Should I call the customer service or is it better to wait a couple of weeks more? tnks

As stated before, it isn't a big deal if your cases don't show up online. I have followed the status "loosely" over the process and rely more on what comes in the US mail

than USCIS's case status online. Just my 2 cents :)

ok, I am soooooo annoyed with USCIS right now... I called more than a week ago to find out what happened to my biometrics appointment and they sent me an email today saying this:

Your application information has been entered into the system which schedules applicants for biometrics at their local Applications Support Center. We are unable to determine how soon you should receive the Appointment Notice. Biometrics appointments are scheduled as slots become available at the Applications Support Centers and some Centers have a waiting period of 30 to 60 days. Once you have been scheduled for an appointment, you will receive an Appointment Notice to appear at a certain date and time at your local Applications Support Center. You must take the Appointment Notice that you receive with you to your appointment.

Seriously... I dont know what else to do other than waiting for another 45 days to set up an infopass appointment.

:(

that sounds like a standard reply... one of those ones that doesn't answer the question you asked, how helpful of them. could you try emailing them again and see if they understand your question better?

btw your timeline says your aos noa1 is a date in the future! hehe. it says 2009-03-27 is it supposed to be 02-27?

Anyway, I went ahead and made an infopass appointment for Monday to see if they can tell me something more useful.

Hi,

Just a suggestion...

If you live not far from a local support center that perform the biometrics, I suggest you go as walk in applicant. I think I have read this somewhere in the forum. If you have a NOA that says they recieved your complete application, bring it with you.

This is just a suggestion.

Have a good day. :)

Are you sure that I can do a walk in appointment? I live about 30 mins away from local USCIS office and it is no problem for me to go there at all.

I am not sure if they allow that, but if you live close, why not try go and do the walk in. I have read somewhere in the forum about going for biometrics as walk in applicant. Maybe a NOA to present will be accepted.

Again, I am not sure about this  . Just trying to make a suggestion.

Partly true but not exactly. First of all, They do not accept you if you don't have Bio App. letter

which consists of Application bar codes. They have to scan those codes. NOA is not enough.

However, If you have the Bio App. letter you can go earlier anyday or time as a walk-in,

as long as you have the Bio App. letter.

So what I would suggest at this point for Nina Ballerina, as soon as she gets the letter, she can go

right away fo her bio. By doing this she can gain about 10 days. Hence she can close the time gap with

February Filers.

GOOD LUCK !......
