A little advice about incorrect forms please...

Hi, I'm in a bit of a quandary here...

I submitted my I-130 late in January of this year. The lock box in Chicago has already received the package and cashed my check. No doubt I will receive my NOA1 very soon. This morning (Feb 8) I was talking to my wife and discovered there is some information that is missing from her G-325A. In the section that asks for all addresses within the last 5 years, my wife and I did not put one address at which she lived for only three months within the 5 year limit.

She has lived at her current address since March of 2004, and one other address from November of 2003 to March of 2004. Her G-325A does not reflect this. It shows only her current address from her birth month until present. We had a miscommunication when discussing this particular part of the form. We have since corrected a copy of that form and are ready to send it to USCIS if needed...

I'm concerned that the dates on the DS-230 and/or other forms showing her previous addresses will cause a problem and make it look like we are not being honest.

So my question is this: Do we send it now or should we wait for an RFE?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Andy

I'm wondering if it was a significantly different address? I mean, was it out of the country, or out of the jurisdiction of the police authority that you'll have to apply for a police certificate from wherever the different address is?

I just ask because although my husband lived in the same place his whole life, in Amman, they don't have post delivery to house numbers, just to post office boxes so there is no way to verify different addresses unless they moved to a different town or country.

I know that doesn't answer your question.... sorry.

Peace,

Mariah

I doubt they'll send an RFE about that if they don't know about it. Once you get the NOA1 with the receipt number, resubmit the G-325A with the corrections. Attach a note with the receipt number and the correction as well explaining what happened. You should be ok.

She lived in a different city and a different province (read state). She has already obtained and sent to me all her police clearances, but perhaps knowing this now we will have to get yet another? Hmmm not sure, I think it that information will be specific to her country, Philippines.

Thanks for your reply,

Andy

On a side note... would it be prudent or unnecessary to send two more pictures of her with the corrected G325A?

(My gut says unnecessary...)

No worries, nothing wrong with that, we had to make a correction to our G-325A. Some birthday, usually you receive birthday gifts on your bday but instead you lost one lol, they cashed the check on your birthday lol. It was a down payment on the ultimate bday gift! Good luck to you!

Ok in that case I would do as Jurod recommended and resubmit with corrections and an explanation of the miscommunication, AND I would have her attend to getting a police clearance for that address as well, since I'm guessing they are good for a year...

I wouldn't worry about resubmitting the pictures unless you have an excess, you'll need 2 more for NVC and 2 for the embassy portion as well.

The pictures are a I-129F request not a G-325A...

As long as she lived in the same country, I would not worry about it....

Andy

Further information:

The DS-230 will only show her current address, however, if one were to check the addresses in the school records (DS-230 school history shows more than one school), they would see the address she lived at from nov 2003 to march 2004 which is a different address from what is on her G-325A.

She has already sent me all of her police clearances soon to be followed soon by her DS-3032 (designating me) and DS-230 with supporting documents.

No police clearance has been obtained from the address she lived at during nov 2003 to march 2004.

I'm guessing they may not go through the trouble to pull her high school records from almost 5 years ago, but am I certain of that? No, I'm not.

Please advise!

Thanks again,

Andy

I forgot to point out the second time that the start date for her address on the G-325A is her month and year of birth, so a conflict of dates would also occur if those school records were accessed.

Yes, I think I am in agreement with you payxibka... also, on the police clearance, I was just reading the NVC shortcut at this link:

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/...he_NVC_ShortCut

On the topic of police clearances, it states you need it for after the age of 16 and also the subject must have lived at the address for 6 months or longer... in short... no further police clearance needed.

My wife and I will proceed with no changes to the G-325A because likely it will not be an issue.

Thanks everyone for your input!
