Can a disabled person drawing disibility co-sponsor? They have a house worth $189,000 and their spouse makes over 125% over the poverty level but the spouse will not co-sponsor. Can she do it if they file taxes jointly?

It's possible but determining whether it can actually be done can be complicated.

May be important to add that she does get social security disability. Her husband gets 125% over the poverty level for us. She has 05, 06, 07 of his taxes and she is on them as they file together. She has a 2008 W2 form but no return yet because he has not filed yet. He gets direct deposit for his income as he is still working and he also gets a Veteran's Pension. Their real estate is worth $189,000, she has life insurance, and other assets. My wife has assets but not to go over 125%. I am wondering if this co-sponor thing will work if she is not working but the spouse makes enough. Can she sign it or he has to? He wont do it that is the issue.

Pakistan will not take into account the house or real estate assets unless there is no lien on the property. I discovered this when I was processing and they denied it since I had it under a mortgage.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

Ok, without that is a combined income of $65,000 gross income good? If the spouse makes $43,000 (my wife's uncle) and the disabled person (my wife's aunt) has proof that her bank account gets $22,000 yearly is this sufficient? Can her aunt still sign it or it has to be the uncle or can they just include his income? For my wife does she count her stafford and pell grant on there as income and supply her 1098-T from her university or no? For her to intend to contribute to me what should she state? Room and board, meals, $100 monthly? I am really worried about this I-134.
