what to write in the letter?

hello i have a question about the letter that i need to attach with the I864 if i didnt have to file the tax return. i havnt been working for past few yrs...so dont have a tax return..my question is how should i address this in the letter..what should be included in it ?does it have to be from the IRS website;if so than can someone please send me the link from where to get that from the IRS website because i have been searching it from the site and couldnt find any info regarding this.. if i were to type a letter than what should i write in it? i asked this question before but couldnt get a clear answer on it :crying:

please do reply i would really appreciate it

I would say make sure it lists the pertinent data and explanation of why the tax wasn't filed.

Example: To: NVC

From: xxxx

Subj.: Tax explanation letter

TAX YEAR EXPLANATION

Tax year 2005 Was not required to file due to level being below taxable rate.

Tax year 2006 No income due to medical reason

ECT.

THEN SIGN IT XXX XXXX

and i would suggest getting it notarized just in case!
