wow. people meeting @ WOW. that's so cool. well my bro is all over that every day its like his life. Anyways...

i met my hubby when i went to surf for the second time. I went to Tofino in Canada the first time i surfed and thought that was too long of a travel and too expensive of a travel just to surf. So i went to Westport, Washington which is the same amount of time of travel and way cheaper. turns out there are a lot of canadians that go there (we even met ppl that were from N. Vancouver which is 5 blocks from one of my friends I was with. such a small world). Anyways, at the last night of my stay, there was a girl (laura) from a couple doors down from the motel who convinced us to go to the bar b/c it was a sausage fest and she was bored watching her husband and my future hubby (lebaron) play billiards. so me and my friends went. there are only 2 bars and we happen to go to the one bar that was happening (which also happens to be the bar that my hubby's mother managed). I thought laura's husband and lebaron all knew each other b/c of the way they talked. Laura & her husband started fighting and somehow lebaron and I got in between them and tried to calm them down. Lebaron and I started asking questions b/c it seem like he knew those ppl and turns out he doesnt and he thought vice versa. I told him the only reason why i was so interested in hanging out with him b/c Laura planted this idea that he found me attractive and she told him the same thing. So that is how we started getting to know each other. The more we got to know each other, we found out that my friend who took a surfing lesson from Lebaron's Dad and i attended that lesson too just to support my friend. So we had a lot to talk about. So its a very small town but it was just so funny how everything turned out as I wasnt expecting anything and i thought it was just one wild night never to be remembered. I guess we under estimated the power of attraction. Here we are with our 1 year marriage anniversary this coming weekend.

We meet on line in Feb or March of 2001 at a card playing site (pinochle, hearts, spades, cribbage, etc) called iplay. I was a moderator and we ended up being pinochle partners, eventually I asked if Carnell was his first of last name he typed "1" a few weeks later I asked if he was male or female again he typed "m". Eventually, we started playing canasta and chatting. One weekend in May he went poof, I was upset that he wasn't there to play as we had a standing "date" to play cards at 8 pm. On the Monday he came on and asked for my phone number as his internet was off all weekend and he really felt disconnected. By June, I knew I had to meet him and arranged to fly to LA from Vancouver in August. He was everything he said he was :) Now we are in the final progress of being together but we play bridge now on line, it is more challenging.

Janet

I love bridge and belong to a community group here in St. Louis. Not many younger people play this game!

These stories are great! Only I have no idea what the gamers are saying.

I find this really cute pug and its licking the page, its called the screen cleaner, and its funny. I send it to practically everybody on my msn list, Buddy included. Hes there and we start chatting. At the same time, he turns the pug into a file so I can make it my screen saver, and we joke around that this pug brought us together because we haven't stopped talking since :) The messages went from MSN to texting to phoning. He came to Toronto for the first time in March, and now were discussing our visa options :D

Do you still have that file, Christina? That would be so cute to have!

It is so cool how the internet has made it possible to meet someone so far away... and the possiblities of finding your true soul mate so much easier.

Nathan and I met on Facebook of all places! There is an application called Social Me, that was May 2008. He is career USAF and hardly ever on FB.. but the timing was right I suppose and fate took us by the hand and led us to each other.

I keep telling my hubby that if it wasn't for the internet we probably would have never met but he is still embarrassed to mention to people that we met on the net :P

I absolutely LOVED reading how everyone met!!

I met my NOW Fiance online....we met on an online forum for woman who are attracted to "nerds, dorks, geeks" he is a 3d environmental artist and makes the backgrounds/scenery in video games..(he's also a graphic artist/designer) so he's a total game geek!! He sent me a message one day(I still have it) and we've talked every single day since. It is going on a year now.

I've never even played WoW but I know a lot of people who met their bf/gf/spouses on that game..
