yeah, I think you could probably safely say that the movie is "loosely" based on a true story. Kinda like Amytiville. There's a house there, and a family used to live in it. ;)

So I just remembered another one.. we used to rehearse for a band in our old church sometimes late at night and often we would hear another female voice.. singing higher than our highest female singer could go.. it was always a beautiful harmony high above what we could ever sing, and it was the most bizarre thing when it happened.. The gals loved it when it happened, and named her voice (can't remember now what we called her).. anyway it was bizarre.. only in that venue would we hear the gals voice.

Yea I hate it when movies say "based on a true story" they really should just say: "We ripped apart the story and came up with this"

Even so, I want to see that movie. I lurve being scared!

I've seen at least one review that says it comes up a bit short in the scary ghostio department. I s'pose it depends on your tolerance for such things.

If anyone watches "A Haunting" on Discovery channel, they have done this story before.

It's pretty freaky for the family, but I can't stand when they take a story and twist it around. Then the 'true' story (according to the family) becomes skewed.

Now, for real ghosts, Hubby and I are going to go hunting in Gettysburg later this summer.

Love it! There's a place on the battlefield called Triangular Field where cameras and electronic devices refuse to work. I want to see if it will happen to us. Also, soldiers have been said to appear in broad daylight.

I'll keep you all informed ;)

Why are pictures of ghosts usually blurry? Just like pictures of UFOs?

Gettysburg would be fun. That would be a great place to see. My sister went there a few years back. She's really into civil war history. I don't think she saw any ghosts, but she did have an eery experience. There was one soldier that she had done a lot of reading on and was really interested in. She and her husband were driving around and she wanted to find his grave. All of a sudden she got this strong feeling and she yelled for her husband to stop the car and she ran out of the car and straight to his grave! She said it was the strangest thing because she had NO idea where he was buried!

It's even worse when a movie says: "Inspired by true events." :P
