I got to this a bit late so I actually think his interview is probably done and dusted by now.

Anyhow... I hope that it went well and that you left with plenty of positive vibes.

I'll keep an eye out for some feedback later on..

Mark :)

Well, he won't hear anything till next week.....

The position is in the county courthouse and the job title is Computer Specialist. Duties include trouble-shooting about 100 PC's that belong to the county in 4 different buildings, and also overseeing and maintaining the card-security system, internet monitoring system, and maintaining the integrity of the network.

The wages would be decent and more than he earned in the UK (it would be god-send money to this household) and the benefit package would be excellent, as he would be a county employee. Five people were interviewed, including one in-house person who gets preference.

The job would also be ideal for us because it's right around the corner from where I presently work and the hours would be the same. Wonderful as we only have one car!

The final decision will be made by the County Commissioners. So we just have to wait.........

I'm proud of him for having his first interview in the US, and he said he wasn't nervous!

Best of luck to Wes. I hope the 'politics' that can be involved in such things aren't a factor where you live. We watched a qualified sheriff's deputy here lose the chance at judicial commissioner when a county commissioner's lazy daughter (with no experience, mind you) 'needed a job'...!
