Trailmix- I love the garden of the Gods! Its one of my favorite places in the state. I can't believe I haven't been to the Cliff Dwelings though! I didn't know that existed! I've been to Pikes Peak too..

Ok, so all these photos of red rocks have reminded me of the lovely wedding waiting for me in Colorado! I just need to show off my reception site:

Red Rocks Park

Down there on the lawn where those people are standing.

Hey, that is just lovely, what a perfect spot for a reception!

That's right! I'd really like to go back but I'm kind of hesitant to. I'm a big suck when I'm sick.

The first time I went to Denver, I got altitude sickness as well. Nausea, nose bleed, headache, the works. Not to mention drunk on 2 glasses of wine, which NEVER happens!

The next few trips though I was fine, it barely affected me at all. (I used to work for a company hq'd in Denver) and altitude doesn't seem to bother me much anymore. Just be sure to drink lots and lots of water all day long.

And speaking of closed gates, when we went to Charleston a few weeks ago, we also went to see the Angel Oak tree. Evidently it doesn't open until 1pm on Sundays, and we had to get back to spring the dogs from their border. I took about a hundred photos though thru the chain link fence!

That's kind of what I thought might happen.... that it may not be so bad next time. Thanks for letting me know!

It sure is! It's about 1500 years old, and has a canopy that covers about 17,000 square feet! It's freakin' HUGE! And I'm very very sorry I couldn't get up close and hug it and talk to it. Imagine the stories it could tell if it could talk!

Wow, I'd love to climb all over that tree. Its strong long branches may be able to hold all my weight! :P

Honestly, the altitude in Denver has never bothered me at all! And I normally have breathing problems... But i'm also from smog central Ontario, so maybe my lungs appreciate some fresh mountain air? Although Denver can be a dust bowl of pollution sometimes... Hopefully when I move there my tolerance doesn't change eh?

Nice pictures guys! I always like seeing cool pictures of places I should visit. Its my personal goal to visit all 50 states before I die!

Here are a couple from Atlanta, GA. This is Centennial Park, where the Olympic Flame was in 1994.

I've been there! I was the weather-girl at CNN. Okay, I lied. I asked if they'd let me do the weather when I did a tour of the CNN building and they let me.

Darn! I knew I missed my calling! I should've gone there to do the same thing! Weather Girl for CNN!! I wish I would've thought about doing a CNN tour while I was there. Oh, wait. I couldn't. I was there for a massive gargantuan cheer competition and my only spare time was walking to/from the Georgia World Congress Center and the hotel.

:star: Krikit, I'll bet that was fun, though!!! :star:

It was hysterical. The rest of the tour group was howling. It's harder than it looks! Plus I don't have very good spacial perception.
