When i was 8 (11 years ago) my brother turned 21 and sponsored my parents and me (from Mexico). We came with visas but overstayed!!!!!! Fortunately for my parents, they got their green card about 1 year after coming to the states. Me on the other hand, since im here through my brother it takes sooooo much longer. I was approved by immigration on January of 1998. Currently, immigration is legalizing those who came in 1995. I have waited a long time and my greatest concern is being able to get my driver's license. I would also like to work but driving is my #1 priority for now. I am pretty much new to this whole thing and it really stinks being "the illegal" in the family... ;) LOL . Could i apply for Advance Parole? Employment Authorization Document? Anything? Oh i also live in Texas so driving is made sooo much harder since i have yet to received my SS#.

What is your exact age? More than 18 1/2 years old?

As a minor, your illegal overstay would not have been held against you. However, once you are past 18 1/2 years old, it will. You cannot say "F U" to US immigration laws and then expect to benefit from it through the application your brother filed for you. If you are older than 18 1/2, you will be subject to a ban from being in the US.

There is no way for you to get AP or an EAD. You are illegal.

You need to see a lawyer.
