Is one Tax form enough!

Hi, guys i was wondering if using one tax form enough. My wife came to the US on late Aug 2007. I was working only part time the when she came, because i went back to school. We did file jointly for that year, but it was under the poverty line. We will have 2008 by the time we file for Removal of condition. For 2008 we will be way above the 125%. So I was wondering if i should include the 2007 or not. Also can anyone explain to me what a Co-Sponsor is and what is required from them? Do i need one? thanx guys in advance!

hi guys, i see my wife has posted this before. As the time is coming for our removal of condition, we are preparing all the items needed. We dont want an RFE, so if anyone can help.

They seem to want three years tax returns - so even if you didn't have income (or taxable income) - you can still file for previous years - showing for example - zero income, zero taxes etc. This way you can satisfy the requirement of having three years tax returns (a requirement of producing old tax return is different than requirement of having income in those years). Old forms should be available for free on the IRS site or many other sites - just do it. The fact that you are over the poverty line currently should be good enough - if not then you can call up on your old co-sponsor again. Good Luck

For removal of conditions they are not concerned with financial support. They are concerned that your marriage is still ongoing and that you live in the same household. For removal of conditions you would have only been married for two years anyway, so it would not be possible to have more than two joint tax returns. Both would be better than one.

I only sent one.... I think it is ok just as long as you have a mix of evidence spanning the whole length of our marriage...

I have the same question to ask is one joint tax form fine, because the problem is he hasnt filed last years taxes and this year we will be filing jointly

so just quick question is 1 joint tax return fine for removal of conditions
