Yesterday, my fiance and I went to go get his social security number. When the lady looked up his information on the computer, she said that immigration had his birthdate listed as 9/1/81 and not 9/7/81, which is his real birthdate. She sent a confirmation request to DHS but is there anything else that we can do? Or need to do? HELP!!!

10/16/07 Sent off our I-129F petition

10/18/07 Delivery confirmation from CSC

10/26/07 Check was processed and I got our case number! NOA1 is supposedly in the mail.

11/09/07 Touched for the very first time!! Exciting!!!

Ick! Have you verified that the rest of your correspondence with USCIS/DHS has the right birthdate? I'm guessing this is a typo from someone at DHS.

Unfortunately, I don't know of much else you can do, if everything else has the right birthdate. I'm guessing the confirmation request will clear things up (eventually). If you are worried about other fallout (besides SSN) you could try an InfoPass appointment to clear things up.

Good luck !

Thank you for your response! I think I will wait another week or two and then make an InfoPass appointment. Thanks for the idea :)
