Hi kinda worried about the address i put in my AOS Petition with AP and EAD...we sent it throug USPS Express,it should be address to

USCIS

Attn:AOS

131 South Dearborn-3rd Floor

Chicago,IL 60603-5520

but we sent in this address

USCIS

Attn:FBAS

131 South Dearborn-3rd Floor

Chicago IL,60603-5517

I dont know why my husband put that address..Lol..Because maybe his in a hurry to pull out the address where to sent the AOS but instead by mistake he pull out the address from the USCIS website from the instruction form I-131...and he got that address where to file the I-485 BUT we didnt even wondered why we put that FBAS..and were filing for an AOS..(im so dumb not to check it just read it in the receipt afterwards..wahhh)actually its FBASI but husband wrote it down as FBAS i dont know what does it means..Lol..But anyways i tracked it earlier and they attempted to deliver it this morning 9:40am but since its Saturday no one i think receive it it said in the usps site that they left a notice that they attempt to deliver it,i will try to track it in Monday. So my question is,is it okay that we sent our AOS petition in that address?Even though they have the same address but different number after the zip code:)Will the USPS DELIVER it again?I was freak out since yesterday night plus today coz of that no delivery(understandable coz it Saturday today).. :crying::crying::crying: .Hope someone can enlighten me,i'm so so worried even though my husband said it will be okay coz its listed as one of USCIS Lockbox Addresses :crying: Hope somebody will enlighten my so WORRIED mind...Thanks:)

My gut tells me you have a good chance that someone from within the USCIS receiving area might catch the error and internally forward your package to the correct place/department. If not, it might be returned to you - for now assume the best.

p.s.,

As for tracking your package - often times you'll get odd-looking results (such as 'attempted delivery') when in actuality the package could very well have been received. If not - if they actually did attempt to deliver, but did not (for what ever reason) , yes - they will likely redeliver.

Hi ChristophandEvan,

We are in exact same situation.

Our package delivery was not done due to saturday and its the same address we used.

FBAS.

Did you call up the post office and do something for redelivery? or was it redelivered automatically?

We are really worried now whats going to happen to the package and not to mention the

delay.

Thanks!

Suman and Pradeep

Hi Suman and Pradeep, dont worry about that, they redelivered it automatically, look at my timeline..im worried also at first (normal reaction i guess) but that lockbox is one of USCIS addresses,so you're good to go  I never called the post office anyways.
