NVC sent as a letter containing our case number and it say's we have to wait before a visa number becomes available and on. How long are we going to wait?

Our category is First Preference of the Family Category(F1)

Currently, visas are available to F1 from the Philippines who had I-130s filed before July 15, 1993. This information can be found in the Visa Bulletin which is published monthly. Priority dates do not move in step with the calendar; meaning that it may not move at all or move several months from month to month.

In your case, you should expect to wait at least another 11 years. When a visa is available to you, you will be able to bring any children that you have if they are under 21 years of age as long as you are not married at the time. The mother of your children will not get a visa.

If you get married, you should request to be moved to the F3 category so your wife can also get an immigration visa. Currently, visas are available for F3 from the Philippines who filed before June 1, 1991.
