ADDITIONAL DOCUMENT REQUESTED AFTER INTERVIEW

Hey guys! I had my interview last Friday at around 9a in the USE. I thought I was already about to end my VISA journey. After the interview with the consul, i waited for my ticket number to be called again. I then went to another window where another officer told me that the consul requested for additional document. They simply want me to get a NBI clearance for the mis-spelled name that I had in my birth certificate. I already have the document in my hand right now and will be submitting it on Monday. I am just wondering how the process is going to be after I submit the required document since they only wanted to make sure that the other name that appears in my BC has no criminal record.

DFA issued you a passport even though your name is misspelled in your BC?

Others might get an RFE for a misspelled BC name that doesn't match passport name. Just make sure your visa is issued to your correct name (as shown in your passport). Later you can have your BC corrected legally. There's a procedure for that.

Thanks, ao_cons! My name was already corrected (legally) thats why i didnt have that problem. the consul just want to make sure that both names (corrected and misspelled) do not have criminal records in case I used the misspelled one.

Don't worry Just send what they want and they will issue the visa ASAP really this so normal ..... Good Luck

Hi, it took 5 working days for my visa approval after submitting additional documents, dont worry you will receive your visa soon,you are not denied, they just require you to submit additional papers, and after they review it, you will receive a call from air21.

well had everything went well 18 sana. but for now we're gonna wait till the visa arrives before we get another date. i'll call them nalang after 5 days. i submitted the document last monday (feb9) so ill call them on monday next week. ikaw alis ka na? =) god bless you too! and thank you for the insight!

Hello I'm just curious, what is that consul look like in the window 29? does she look like in her 40's & look like lady Diane? shes American i think & she's nice. Well, if she is, then shet was our consul too. I just don't remember the window number. Pls answer.

personal experience.. cr1 with white slip..took at least 7-10 business days for them to release my visa.dont wori as soon as you accomplish everything they will give it to u no worries dear..hold on konti nlng
