embassy kept proof of relationship and support evidence

Hi - I previously posted about the visa denying visa due to K1 expiration. I spoke with my fiance more about this today....He was more calm .

Anyway he said that the embassy did admit it was an error on there part and they are sorry??????? But they kept all the documents I sent my fiance..inlcuding evidence I sent for time after his last interview...

He asked why they arenot giving it back and they replied that they will keep it so they will have it when we refile? Does this make sense? Are those people nutty or do they know something I don't know?

It doesnt make sense for them to keep ur documents n file.

They should give it back to ur fiance.

Well they just gave back the pictures......and he did ask for them back.....and there reply was they were going to keep them for when we refile....makes no sense.....

They, the USCIS, always keep the documents, that's why it is important to not send originals. The starting over part really sucks especially seeing the embassy could have extended the expiration date
