One of the requirements for Filipinos is attending Seminars/ Counseling/Orientation prior to departing for the US or any other place for 6 months or longer. This "CFO" topic comes up frequently enough that the subject should be pinned to the Philippines Forum.

What is the process?

Hokey Smoke!

Rocky: "Baby, are they still mad at us on VJ?"

Bullwinkle: "No, they are just confused."

I did read that in the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide, but only because I knew to find it there. That does not fully solve the issue though. Just scan the number of threads in the Philippine Forum asking questions about the CFO process, suggesting maybe a newbie would not look for a topic about something that has nothing to do with USEM in the USEM guide.

umm bill, the title 'Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide, NEWBIES: READ THE GUIDE BEFORE POSTING ANY QUESTIONS!' pretty much says it all. & its already pinned. since the USEM approves or denies the visa. it'd be a good idea for a newbie or anyone trying to obtain a K-1 from the PI to read it....but like jasman said 'Send a message to the Capt.' & let him decide.

Bill, Section 6 in the link Smoke provided addresses the CFO. What specific questions do you have that are not answered by the guide that you think should be pinned?

(now that wasn't so hard, was it?)

youd be surprised

"VJ Timelines are only an estimate, they are not actual approval dates! They only reflect VJ members. VJ Timelines do not include the thousands of applicants who do not use VJ"

IF YOU ARE NEW TO THE SITE, PLEASE READ THE GUIDES BEFORE ASKING ALOT OF QUESTIONS. THE GUIDES ARE VERY HELPFUL AND WILL SAVE YOU ALOT OF TIME!
