We are planning on traveling to my husband's home country (Argentina) in the spring and I am not clear as to whether or not he need to apply for AP. He has the conditional green card. We would only be in Argentina for about 3 weeks.

Thanks!

There is no such thing as a Temp (or even conditional) PR/Green Card - only a 2-year one and/or a 10-year one - both are the same (except for being valid for different periods of time) and the holder of either has the same rights/privileges. No AP required.

Sorry.... not following your train of thought here. The two year GC is conditional. Link

You can travel on a conditional green card, just be careful how long you are outside the US

No need for AP. Just passport and Green Card. Have a good trip! :star:

OP, time spent outside the US would be a concern if you were planning on spending 6 months + outside the US, 3 weeks is totally safe :)

Saludos,

Caro
