Hello, I'm costarican, and i got married 2 months ago with a US citizen, and i'm missing my family so much.

So i would like to know how long do i have to wait before i get to go visit my country and be able to come back.

My husband is taking care of all the paperwork, and honestly i don't understand very much of it, so i would like to know as an estimate time.

I'd really appreciate any help.

Thanks. :wacko::wacko:

You have to ask to your husband if he submitted an advance parole form for you, it is free if you send it with the adjustment of status docs. This advance parole will give the permission for travelling before you get the green card.

My advice is you have to read the guides, then you will be able to understand the process. It will be a good idea you get fully informed. If you are not working I am almost sure you are not. Start reading, when you do that you get knowledge.

You need the advance parole or green card. In our case I filed for both at the same time and received the green card BEFORE the advance parole. It took two months form filing the I-485 until my wife had her green card. Ask your husband to explain the timeline to you. When did he file the AOS? Have you received a biometrics appointment yet? We filed in November, had the biometrics in December and had the interview in January.
