I also get those people who click "accept" and then an hour before the meeting suddenly remember a prior engagement. Its a right ####### to find a new conference room at such short notice (unless you're some senior management type - then you don't even need to bother with booking, just find a room that's free and ####### anyone who actually booked it for that time).

i have had that happen also...they e-mail you about 5 minutes prior to the meeting and are tied up with an engagement that slipped their mind...i assume, they are playing Tetris and getting close to completing a level..

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

That happens a lot to me too. I just set up impromptu standing meetings in the server area. It's quiet and cold. Very cold.

love it!

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I would have followed up the email invitation with a phone call or talk to them directly. Emails tend to get lost once they are read and perhaps they meant to reply but Monday was too early for them to give you an answer. Some kind of follow up I think is necessary. :)

I disagree. It's a waste of time and totally inefficient to not only email people invites but to then have to follow up with everybody individually.

Too many people here rely solely on emails as a way of avoiding direct contact with other people. I guess people don't like confrontation - but relying solely on email creates "email wars".

Create worse conflicts by trying to avoid conflict in the first place.

My old landlady used to do that.

Then just go big and send out an email to all of your employees expressing the importance of replying to meeting invites.

I agree. That could take away from your VJ post count.

Indeed. My old landlady was nice when we met her - but she preferred to deal with everything remotely, ended up sending all kinds of nastily worded letters for silly, trivial things that could have been smoothed over with a phonecall.

She paid the price though - a few months after we moved out of there (after a year of hell), I get a hand-wringing email asking for rent receipts due to her being audited by the IRS.

I never responded...
