Good day!

Taxtime is here again. Am just asking input on how much do we have to pay if we apply for ITIN. I am planning to apply an ITIN for my husband who just got here in the US last October 2008 since we want to file as married filing jointly.

It does not cost you anything to apply for the ITIN. Just some time filling out the W7 and a postage stamp to mail the W7 and 1040 to Austin, TX

ITIN are great when you don't have a Social security number

Thanks for the input! It is much appreciated.

Just a follow up question: I read in the IRS website that I can file the W7 thru an accepting agent. Do i expect a payment with this one or not?
