Okay, we called at a time when everyone else in the US is asleep. AVR said our case was entered into the system on Feb 2, 2009. Said allow 6-8 weeks for beneficiary to get notice.

So does this mean it's been manually entered, or merely scanned? We haven't gotten a DS-3032 yet and there was no operator available when we called. I'll call again later to talk to a human there.

Also, hubby is working on the barcode. Do we input NVC case number or the USCIS case number in "data to encode"? I think it makes sense to use the NVC no. since that's where we're at.

Thank you both.:)

I fill out DS-3032 when it comes by post in 2 weeks, he gets DS-230 and I-864 and then he pays the AOS fee online. Then he sees the code we put in the DS-3032?

Yes, I've been reading. Just that some say e-mail it and others say one should wait. But we'll e-mail it and then we won't need the barcode for the e-mail. I recall being told we'll use the barcode for snail-mailing a hard copy of the DS-3032 (for the sake of completeness). I just can't find one that's not expired. :D
