Hi All,

We are extremely surprised. Paul and I received an email yesterday saying that we have NOA2 approval. Took a little over 2 months at VSC from the NOA1 date. Crazy. Anyway wanted to get over here to start reading about next steps. Side question: I need to give someone a revised G-325A for Paul (UK) because I put the wrong town of birth on there. Any suggestions on who we should send it to? Thanks.

Called the state department again, still no interview date for Sarah :( For those of you who called DOS after you sent back packet 3, did they say that the embassy received packet 3 from you? They said that they sent packet 3 on August 11th, but no status updates since then. We sent in the packet 3 forms about 2 weeks later via overnight. Do you think it's time to call the embassy's extortion line?

What is the DOS? and should i call them??

I returned all the forms needed for package 3 and the checklist, had my medicals too and it has now been 4 weeks since. I have called the 1.20per minute phone line on several occasions and everytime they say it takes the embassy 4 weeks to update anything. I wanted to make sure they even got my forms and checklist but they say they cant advise me of that!

Any advise from anyone would be fantastic. This last stretch is really fustrating and making me sad!

Department of State. It sounds like from what you said that the embassy won't update anything until after they issue an interview date, which means that it's still fairly likely that the embassy is still sitting on Sarah's forms, which is good news in that things are probably still progressing, but bad news in that I have no idea if the posties just flat out lost her forms or something :(

Did you send the forms special delivery? because that means they have to be signed for and you can check this with your receipt number.

Do you have the DOS number to call?

The number for DOS is 202-663-1225. When the automated voice comes up, push 1, then 0 (the menu is INCREDIBLY long unless you know the shortcut). If you already called the rip off embassy line I don't think DOS will have any more information for you.

I talked to Sarah and it looks like she did send the forms special delivery, but she didn't know that you could track special delivery shipments online. I'm not sure if she knows where the recipt is, unfortunately :(

tinypyramids, that makes me feel better because we mailed our checklist and form to the embassy 26 days ago and the DOS told us today that the latest update is still them sending us packet3. i was worried that our forms got lost in the mail too but i would think both of us having our forms lost in the mail is extremely rare.

Thats ####### if the embassy is taking a month or more just to give the interview date! I thought your supposed to phone the DOS to check first, cause sometimes the embassy doesnt send the notice/appointment letter at all....or very very little notice....i donno....

How long is it taking for London to put the packet 3's into the system?

I am wondering because my fiance sent a new DS-157 on Fri. Sept 18, 09 (as per embassy's request). But he emailed the DS-157 to the embassy because the embassy asked for it in an email attachment. DOS is telling us that it is still not in the system. I am thinking the embassy is not quick enough updating their system...so I was wondering how long it is taking for packet 3's being put in the system from the time they are received by the embassy.

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

it would seem that is the million dollar question.

I have spoken to London Embassy a few times, they have told me it can take up to 4 weeks for the system to be updated. After 4 weeks, if they have not updated they can then look into your case for you and whats happening.
