And here's a Whole Thread! dedicated to the same issue.

It's not rocket science.

See my previous reply.

It is helpful and productive. The point is, the answers are here. You just might actually have to look a little bit. The reason that previous threads are kept around is so that new members can learn from the experiences of members who have been through it. You seem to want all the answer spoon fed to you. This forum is comprised members helping members. You don't pay a fee to participate, or to receive the benefit of other's knowledge. So, you might actually have to do some work yourself to get the answers you need.

I have searched for this, but could not find it...

My fiance has his medical on April 24 (Friday) and his interview is April 28 (Tuesday).

Does knightsbridge send the medical results right away to the embassy?

We are concerned if it is enough time for the embassy to receive his medical results...(I know that it is possible to get approval pending medical results, but I just want to know if it is possible that the embassy can get the medical results by the day of his interview).

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

my fiance has his medical the same day :) good luck! hopefully the rest of this will go more smoothly for you...have you heard anything new regarding his passport issues?

Yes  I remember you telling me that Knightsbridge also told you guys that the earliest available was for Friday April 24th. What time is your fiance's medical? We have not heard anything new yet, we sent faxes (2 of them) to different UKBA offices in hopes of an expedite and we also wrote to the MP, and they have gotten back to us saying that the MP's caseworkers have been informed of the issue...don't know if it will do any good, but we have heard that doing so gets positive results.

Still sitting on edge...waiting for the passport...

Knightsbridge will take 3-4 days to deliver the results to the Embassy, so there is a good chance they will arrive in time for the interview. Any news on the AWOL passport?

It takes about 4 business days for medical results to get from Knightsbrisdge to the Embassy. It seems unlikely that the results will be there in time for your fiance's interview.

Two similar, but different, answers!

Eeek! Julez is right -- I missed the fact that there was a weekend involved. It is probably pretty unlikely that the results will arrive in time, but stranger things have happened. :)

Woohooo our petition left the NVC yesterday, should I call the Embassy either Thursday or Friday to see whether it is in system? Secondly, I know this might be a bit picky but for the purpose of the timeline, what date should we enter for "Consulate Received"? The date the petition arrives there via DHL or the date it gets into the system thanks. :)

Similar in the sense that they both mean the same thing: There is a chance that the results won't be there in time for the interview and there is also a chance that they maybe, so nothing can be said until D-day.

Different: elmcitymaven said that there is a good chance they will be there in time for the interview

julez: it seems unlikely that the results will be there in time for the interview.

And no news on the passport yet...

My then-fiance had his medical day before the interview......he got approved, pending arrival of medical results. It just meant the visa got delayed a bit, though he had it within 10 days.

Thanks for the answer rkl57! :star:

Yes, and if there is a delay due to the medical, it will probably not matter at all because there is a 99% probability that there will be a SIGNIFICANT delay due to Admin Processing or Admin Review.

I wouldn't call the embassy as they charge you a fee for calling, and then only give you a code to email with the question. They tell you nothing over the phone.

Instead, call the US State Department: (202) 663-1225 - press 1, then 0. Give them your LND # and they can tell you if the petition has been entered into the system, if Packet 3 has been mailed and when an interview has been scheduled.

They are open in the US, from EST 8 - 4, if I'm not mistaken.

i think having information posted in several places in several formats is not the end of the world. different people do their research different ways. some of us are really efficient, great with computers, and detail orientated. others are not and may have a hard time finding information they are looking for easily.

if we could put a pinned London Embassy FAQ that refers people to both the wiki entries and best practices for searching threads (julez, even i learned from your mini-search tutorial!) it could be helpful. it could a. help people get the information they might be searching for, b. slightly reduce repetitive posting and c. educate searchers on more efficient searching.

</cold pricklies>

marm, you could try calling to see if there are any cancellations for medicals as this week progresses? think someone mentioned getting into a cancelled appointment slot recently.

Talk about a tempest in a teapot. I relay one specific example of my experience and now it's posting #######?

I wasn't referring to you. You need to be a little less paranoid and sensitive.

Well, I take offense to your comment.

I don't care.

I guess being an organizer around these parts makes one jaded and I if I'm honest I can understand your frustrations.....but dang these open forums where people double triple and quadruple post at free will!!!! ;)

I shan't fight the powers that be, but I am offering my services to anyone who needs a hand putting together anything to help other folks, whether its read, ignored or printed and folded to create a voodoo doll that looks like me and is then set on fire :D

So back on topic then........
