Does the beneficiary have to include photos on the DS 156 form when mailing in Packet3? My fiance cant get his photos yet so i told him to just mail them off without them. i think the office may do it during the interview...thats what a couple others on here said. i just wanted to double check! thanks!!

I didn't send any photos. They attach them at the interview (so I hear) :star:

Thank u!! I'm relieved! :content: Been worried about it all night, haha. Such a small detail yet i get so stressed over the smallest thing regarding this!

:D Yeppers. The guy attached the photo to my DS-156 when I gave my documents to the guy at the booth before I had my interview.

I think there was a thread like this in 2008, so I am creating one for this year 2009. All those of us that are interviewing in London or have their SO interviewing in London...this is where to discuss tracking your case from NVC onwards and interview preparations.

:)

I got my NOA2 just yesterday so I think if I call NVC on Monday, they should have some record of me by then.

We received our NOA2 last April 4; do we need to call up embassy or we just have to wait the arrival of the packet? Few information would really appreciated.

Regards,

Maria

This link is your p3 from London. They will mail you a letter with website http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/iv/iv_15.html

That tells you everything you need to know and what to fill out and what to gather to take to the interview. Best to study it and all other links from that page so you can be getting ready while waiting on their official letter.

Not sure if you landed in the right thread, this is for the UK embassy. It may be different for the Philipines, you might want to check the embassy and consulate thread.

Well, I just got back to the States having spent the past week+ with my fiancee. We had her medical on Mar 30 and it was such a breeze. It took us longer to find the place (map B) and walked right by it. We were in and out in 45 minutes which was good as we were nervous with the G20 protests that were planned so we wanted to get in and out of London.

Now we have all the forms sent and are awaiting package 4 with the interview date (should get this week). I'm planning on going back for that as well and to help her move hopefully by end of April or early May.

As far as the round trip flights, as a very frequent traveler with Delta, they tend to frown upon not using the second half of a round trip ticket. If you aren't a frequent flier it may or may not have a repercussion, but I want to maintain my status so we'll be doing the one-way properly.

my fiance did a one way trip from england to atlanta. Because if we did a round trip even though it cost less but because he would get a nonrefundable flight it would cost of 250 dollars to cancel the flight home. Which was about the same price if he just did the one way. So he is doing the one way no hassle then.

Nick did round trip on Continental. He just called and cancelled the return a couple of weeks ago and there was no charge mentioned, unless he wanted to rebook it for a different day, even though non-refundable. What can they do if you don't get on the plane to go back to the UK? I don't see how they could charge you.

Maybe that was because I called ahead of time with Delta. And said if I cancel the flight what would happen and they said there would be a charge of 250 dollars. Well I guess there is nothing I can do about it now he already booked his flight for may 7th didnt want to take that gamble and he was afraid they would charge his credit card. And do you know if the 90 days to get married starts when they arrive in the us or does it start when you have your interview which I am hoping it starts when he arrives in the us on may 7th because I am planning the wedding now and dont want to have to rush and then get his aos asap. Thank you.

90 days starts when you step on American soil and present the K1 visa to the immigration officers. They will write the date on his I-94 card and I think on the visa. I think Nick's has an entry stamp kinda half on the visa and half on the next page and they handwrote the 90th day date near the stamp. So your guy's will be approx Aug 7 written on his stuff. That's some of what they do when they take you off to another room to process the POE stuff and open the brown envelope. Sometimes they staple the I-94 inside the passport, but they just handed Nick his.

Anyone else feel weird about going to their employer and getting the letter for the I-134? I've been putting it off, havent been able to muster up the nerve.:blush:
