hey guys!!

sent my checklist back today !! hoping for an interview in april!! what you think the chances of that happening is ?

Its been 4 weeks since NVC sent my case to London and they still haven't put it on their systems, this process sucks

Was your left NVC date from ringing them or from a letter?

It was from ringing them, i've been told many times it was physically sent on the 27th, and the electronic copy was received on the 27th too, but they have not updated the system to acknowledge receipt of the hardcopy. I have been given the same useless info from the various departments I have called and it took them a week and a half to email me back, with yet another useless 4-6 week expected wait! I emailed again on Wednesday evening as a complaint, I probably shouldn't formally write complaining to them but its rubbish, it does not usually take them 4-6 weeks, looking at the stats on here proves that (for the percentage of filers that us VJ). Its so frustrating.

To get this far & hit a brick wall is so frustrating. I would just keep bugging them until someone does something about it.

Hallelujah! I just called DOS and a lady called Raquelle told me London mailed out packet 3 yesterday after 4 weeks of waiting! I am so relieved, I really thought they may have lost it somehow!

Now, why is it when I called the rip off line this morning they told me they still hadn't received it??

I'm so relieved, i'm going to mail my forms tomorrow morning!

Woohoo! That's awesome news. I was actually posting with some advice, but there's no need now . Also, the arm-and-a-leg line didn't give me much helpful news either, but DOS did, so you're not the only one. There's probably some reason for it that I can't quite remember...

Hi Laura,

Mine took 16 days (including weekends) to come through. I sent it on the 5th March and got it on the 21st - the day before i got back from seeing my SO.

Those who got their police certificates recently, how long did it take? I sent for mine, 1st Class, on the 11th March and still haven't received it.

Pat got hers back in less then a week (this was about mid-March). She paid for the express service which expedites the whole process. The express option was about twice the cost of the standard service.

My fiance sent his police certificate application out on November 25th, 08 and he got his police certificates in the mail on December 18th, 08. He used the standard service.

I sent away for mine on Tuesday 24th March ... just sent Packet three off the day before, so I'm hoping the certificate will be here long before I get my interview ...

Mine took one calendar month, I called them on the day it arrived to find out where it was!

Mine took a lot less time than that. It took about a week and a half for the whole process, from sending to getting it back...but that was earlier this year O.o. But then I had to poke them again to fix my name, and they got the name change to me within three days of me calling them.
