I can't believe I didn't find this thread before!

Sebastian's interview is like 4 hours away!! Aaaaaaaaahhhh!

As for the medical question, we waited until the embassy had the electronic file of our case before scheduling it.

npearce, did you call the NVC to see the status of your case? I'd be hesitant to send in packet 3 if they have absolutely no record of you at the embassy, but once they do I'd say you're in the clear. Others on here have done it without any problems. We nearly did, but ended up receiving the hard copy the same day we sent it out.

I think we will try to be patient a little bit longer. I think it is harder to be patient the closer we are to the end. As far as packet 3 goes I am a little confused about what all gets sent back. Do we send back all the DS forms and duplicates, pictures and checklist? Also do we need to send in the DS- 157 form too? I have seen conflicting posts on this and some of them reference getting it validated at the bank?? Sometimes it is hard to filter through what is current and what is old or applys to another country. I love being able to ask people who have just gone through it. Thanks for your help!

September 11, 2008...sent I-129F to CSC

We sent back all DS forms and duplicates, plus the checklist (I think that's all...I'll double check with Sebastian later). You need a picture for your medical, but the other pics are taken to the interview, not mailed in. We certainly didn't have anything validated at the bank! Feel free to PM me with any questions or post in here! At this stage, Sebastian knows much more than me so anything I'm unsure of I'll forward to him. He's a bit of a shy VJ poster ;).

You are correct, only the DS156 is filled out in duplicate, the rest are all singly filled. And also, don't forget to sign and date all the forms EXCEPT the DS156 ! You sign the DS156 duplicates on the day of the interview in front of the CO.

Question guys, I know this has been asked a million times before, but by when do you think the embassy will receive our case? It was sent out from NVC on Feb 12, 09 to London. I know the tracking method, but for a general idea, how soon should the embassy have our case?
