I got stung changing my flight details for my upcoming 2 month holiday. I was due to return early May but changed them to mid June. Was charged £170 for the pleasure. So what was a cheap return flight (£270) has become not so cheap.

once spring hits though....prices jump x2 at the minimum. your once $450 flight to europe is now $900-$1200

I had to change my travel plans twice trying to find better ticket prices for my trip to see Pat in 2 weeks. The difference between departing on 2 different weekdays changed my fare from $1,050 US to $525 US.

We got pretty lucky.... Stu came in Dec. 29th and was only supposed to stay until the 8th and we just couldnt leave each other...plus he wasnt busy with work. so we bought another plane ticket for him to leave the 17th and we did a return ticket because one way is just insane. we just ended up calling more then 24 hours before the flight took off and ''cancelled'' the flight--said he couldnt get on it. they gave us a voucher. and we used the voucher for his incoming flight next week...the voucher ended up being worth $301.70 so we ended up paying about $100-$130. Cheapest flight for us thus far

but when we were traveling in june/july of last year...... that was just insane. about $1200-1300/ticket. thankfully then the exchange rate for him was a lot better.

as long as you have your NVC number--the number the NVC gives you on the white piece of paper in the mail--you can schedule it

Yeah I know that, I have my Packet 3 anyway. Just wondering if they will have an issue with me booking it so far in advance. I suppose I'll find out tonight.

Pat could not book hers more then 30 days out. You can certainly try though. It's not like they are going send you to detentions or anything.

I tried booking mine two months in advance and it didn't happen...was told to call back in a few weeks. She only gave me a medical at the beginning of March about halfway into February.

Finally heard back from the Embassy their 3-4 days for a reply turned into a week!!!!!!!!

The said sorry for the delay and I can come to the Embassy between 9 and 10 any day next week and they will amend my visa while I wait

So guys dont forget to check your visa when you get it, my passport number was wrong and DOS said I could not enter the States on it
