We got our NOA2 for quite sometime now. I called the embassy in London and told me that they have sent packet 3 since Feb 17. It's March 3 and we have not received their mail yet.

We already have all the forms ready and we have the LND number. Can someone tell me if it's OK if we sent all the forms to the embassy even thou we have not received packet 3 yet? Also will we be OK if we schedule a medical appointment now without the interview date known?

Yes, you can.

My packet 3 still hasn't arrived, but the DoS have told me my interview date just now :D 16th March, medical on the 20th, so a busy week that one!

Thank you and best of luck to you. My fiance is been going crazy so many papers to fill on top of that they change them all the time I just don't know why do they have to be like this, giving us such a hard time

responding to the interview/medical question (i accidently responded to the wrong question, my bad :bonk: )

There is a link on here(page 9) for the iv-15k checklist.....from what i have read, you are supposed to send this check list, filled and signed and dated along with all the ds forms to the embassy. good luck!

and you can schedule your medical with your case number (LND...). its easier of course if you live real far from london to get your medical and interview scheduled a few days apart...but if you can...scheduling your medical before the interview gets you your passport back sooner (since they wont be waiting on the medical results if you had the medical after the interview)

Yep, that's no problem at all :D Gives me a little more time to keep on the diet and gym plan to keep the blood pressure down, and gives me a kick up the ####### to crack on with the bloody thesis!

What you guys who've just been approved can also do (and I did this) is send documents in bunches (so like the DS-2001 with the DS-156K and whatnot) with a cover letter basically outlining what visa you're applying for, your case number, and so on. At least then you'll have bits out of the way and you'll feel better. Send in the IV-15 when you're ready for your interview. This worked well in my case because I actually wanted to delay things so I could finish my degree without the pressure of a really close deadline.

Additionally, I sent my IV-15 in before I had all my interview documentation ready (police certificate, etc.) because I knew I would have the time padding. But if you want to send the other required documents (DS-2001, etc.) in while you're readying the documents required for your IV-15, go for it.

:D It's just my experience in this. They gave me my interview date pretty quickly after I sent in the IV-15 and my letter.

Also, I would suggest getting the medical maybe a month or two months in advance of your visa. It's handy in case something crops up :D and they'll have your results when the time comes for your interview.

If this is all a bit confusing, I'll be happy to clarify anything I've said.

Magpie.

No worries! As long as you have all the documents required before your interview, no :D. You should be good to go. You can mention what's enclosed if you like, just for peace of mind.
