I really hope that isn't the case, we only put that date down as a estimate depending on how long the visa/interview took to get. This is so frustrating!

Well you shouldnt list travel dates unless you have specific things already booked because there's no guarantee you would have it. We are planning a June 5th wedding and I did have John list that date on the paperwork. In good time I suppose. Just keep stalker calling DOS that's all ya can do!

I have a question....Once the packet 3 has been logged why would you NOT be eligable for an interview at that point? When I called they said the paperwork was just entered yesterday so I guess I'm just wondering does that make us eligable for an interview now or are we just in limbo?

You can't trust everything the DOS tells you as being the latest on your application. I called them to see if I had an interview date and they said "no, still processing" and the next day I received my appointment letter in the post.

Spoke to DOS this morning and they said Packet 3 has been received (so it's finally been logged) and they will be assigning an interview date soon!

Woooo Hooooo! Keep us posted. I called today and no interview date yet. I'm hopeful we'll hear something in the next couple of weeks....fingers crossed!

when you called did they say "its been logged" or are you just guessing that since they have it ..thats its logged? cause according to everyone i have talked to at dos.. they say they have it but its not been processed yet.. which means we arent qualified for an interview.. when i asked the person abut "logged" she acted like she had never heard that term..

They said "your packet has been received and we will be assigning an interview date soon". So I decided this means we're "logged", but they never used that word. And we just got given an interview date today! Maybe you're about to get yours too.

WE did the same we put a estimate date down to see if we could get a date quicker , think we put march down but i didnt get my interview untill 4 of feb and we still needed to plan the wedding, so we just pushed it back to early april.

November 2007: Michael Messaged Leanne on Facebook!

January 2009: Michael & Leanne got engaged!

May 26, 2009: Filed I-129F!

November 20, 2009: Leanne's medical in London (she never received packet 3)

Februay 4, 2010: Michael attended interview with Leanne... APPROVED!!!!!!!!

Februay 12, 2010: Leanne received her visa in the mail :)

April 9, 2010: P.O.E.

April 14, 2010: Wedding on the sand at Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point, CA t4527.gif

July 06, 2010: Mailed AOS package

July 08, 2010: Received in Chicago

July 15, 2010: Received text & email that app. was received

July 17, 2010: Received NOA1 dated 7-14-10, our 3-month wedding anniversary :)

Hello Everyone! I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question or not (is there a similar thread but now for 2010?)

Anyway, we just got our NO2 last week and then a letter from NVC today saying that they have our packet and will be sending it on to London soon! I want to start preparing our papers for packet 3 but am getting a little confused as to what we need to be sending, here's the info I've got at the moment...

1. Document Checklist IV-15K

2. DS-230-I Part1 Signed

3. DS-156 (in duplicate) (Fill out online to generate barcode)

4. DS-156K (in duplicate) Do not sign

5. DS- 157 (in duplicate)?

6. DS-2000?

Does this look right to you guys that have put together a packet 3 recently?

I think I understand the first four, but definitely not the last two! What is and where can I find a DS-157 and DS-2000??

Thanks so much for your help!
