can he only come if your disabled or they something wrong? My fiances coming jus to be with me and give me support. on the embassy website it say your fiance could come with you but it didnt say you had to have a reason.

I hope he can come now coz he has booked his plane tickets plus i dont want to go alone :(

No, no, sorry, I didn't mean to worry you! I'm pretty sure I've read lots of people have taken their fiance's with them. It doesn't apply only to people that are disabled. (It's just in my case, my step father is going to be coming with me because I'll need him to help whilst I'm there).

I don't know if it's what you definitely have to do, but I'm pretty certain it's what they want. I think the wording of the p4 letter kinda implied that's what we have to do if someone is coming with us, anyways. If you're worried, you could call the embassy I guess.

I came with my honey for support. When he wrote them (after getting the email code from the extortion line), he was told to include my name. The letter should work fine. We were only a week out and therefore nervous about getting something to the quickly.

Hello,

I jus recieved my package 4 today.

My fiance is coming to the interview with me but according to the package 4 letter if any body is coming to the interview with you like your fiance , you have to send the embassy there full name so they can get access to the embassy but i am unsure how i do this?

Should i write a letter or send a copy of the package 4 letter back with his name ritten on it??

Has anybody else done the same???

Would be very gratefull wit any advise

Thank you:)

Hi yorskshirerose22,

I called the embassy extortion line who told me I needed to call the visa and immigration dept in Scotland. I called them and they gave me the email code and I emailed the embassy with Tony's full name. The embassy emailed me back within 24 hrs saying he was added to the list. This was all done about a week before our interview.

The scotland number is 09042 450100 and its 1.20 pounds a minute but it gets it done quicker than writing.

Amanda :)

We sent in our P3 stuff to the embassy 1st week of December, called the rip off line just now, and they haven't even got the paperwork. Does anyone have any idea how much longer we will have to wait till i can get an idea on interview dates? Just that virgin Atlantic are having their sale and its damn cheep, even upgraded premium econ and a date change still works out cheaper than normal :)

Hello, I am just wondering if you have heard anything? I sent my IV-15K off on the 25th November and called numerous times to be told that it just hadnt been logged yet, it had been logged but something was wrong etc etc. I called the Extortion line just before Christmas and they said, no nothing wrong just waiting on the last bit of paperwork. I then called the extortion line again last week as still nothing and got given the 'code' to email which i did. Today i just got an email telling me of my interview date.

If you have not yet heard anything call the extortion line, ask if you can email and then send a scanned copy to them (when they request it) via email. I sent mine on the 8th Jan i think it was and 6 days later an interview date.

If you have heard, good luck, i hope you get your interview soon.

I remember when my interview date came. Such a wide mix of emotions; I felt utterly drained by the end of the day. Luckily Feb 2nd isn't too far away for you (I've had to wait four weeks for my date to come around). Best thing I've found for the waiting-just put it to the back of your mind. Start getting everything together (depending on how organized you are) about 10 days before.

My interview is tomorrow. I'm feeling strangely numb about it all at the moment.

The Embassy lost my forms for 6 weeks and i had to send them to them via email last week so the 6 weeks was agony but the interview, i didnt expect it half as quick!

Good luck, im sure you'll be fine! Let us know how it goes and if you can, a full report on what they asked you wouldnt go amiss.

yeah, mine is 9am feb the 2nd also. Fancy going for a coffee before........more like something a bit stronger i think :D

Where are you coming from for your interview? A drink sounds brill.......vodka and lemonade please (double)!

Well, if we both get the visa well have to go for a celebratary drink! If you see me at the interview, feel free to chat to me, from what ive heard we have quite a long wait

Quick question for you, do we need our NOA1 and NOA2 for the interview?

I'm coming from Bristol, double vodka for you, just a coffee for me, t-total :) but i think that might change lol. Im not sure what we have to take with us, its all explained in the pkt 4 i believe. From what i see on here, i expect the process to take about 4-5 hours, but even if it took 9 hours, 9 hours is nothing compared to the waiting we have had to endure to get here. This is the final step, it make go quick or it may drag on, either way, we will get there.

I was fortunate with my interview date-I've had Christmas to distract me. After January, I started preparing my paperwork. I have so many documents here that it took me over 6 hours to get things sorted out into some sort of basic system. It's taken me another 6 hours (at least!) to put everything in the order, and make sure to photocopy anything I need back.

I've read through the I-134 forms and many other documents so many times now that I feel I might well be able to recite them if asked. This, I feel, is a good thing as I feel that because I'm so familiar with a lot of things, there's less chance of me having "missed" a problem.

I do what you do, too-I worry about the worst. I think everyone else probably does the same. It's natural.

One tip I found to help relieve the stress of waiting: make sure you talk to your fiance about anything you're doing that's visa related. I think sometimes it can be easy for us to forget that whilst we're here, preparing for the interview, the fiance is over there, and feeling helpless and left out. I know my fiance certainly has spoken many times of his frustration at being unable to help me get everything prepared and deal with the stress of waiting/worrying about the interview.

Something that might be useful to check out if you haven't already seen it:

I always find that I feel less stressed about something if I know what to expect. I've read lots of reviews about people's experiences here on visa journey, and watched that video a few times, too. Edited by FrostyMist

That is so true! I feel like i have won the lottery and i have not even been granted the visa yet so just imagine what im gonna be like if they approve me!! I feel so good today
