I'm getting so nervous! The train tickets are booked, he'll have to be on the train at 4:50 AM (8:50 PM the day before, my time) and then he's off! I'm also waiting to hear whether I got a promotion at work today, which would really change everything, as my days would be different, and the second job that I just got wouldn't be able to work around the new schedule, if I get it... All this stuff is up in the air. If I do get the promotion, I would be moving desks and jobs the Day Before the Interview!!! I hate not knowing so much in such a short space of time! If I don't get it, its allright, but I would be working 7 days a week with the two jobs (more money, much less time to spend together when he gets here) and if I do get the promotion, then no second job, but only working 5 days a week (more time, not as much extra money)... either way its good, kinda... I just don't know!! Riggs says "Now you know how I feel"... This sucks!

I am so excited for you!! I will be waking up on Thursday hoping for updates from you and Lioncub4!!!

Dave is now 21 days from his interview and I am being very impatient. :(

Our VisaJourney started July 2009 when I mailed the 129-F

I'm not sure exactly how long it is until my interview (about 1 month, 1 day according to the ticker in my sig) but I am getting more and more nervous as it gets closer.

Hint to those with interviews coming up.... Plan your journey!!! We got the train tickets, but he didn't have time to check out the Embassy during his last visit to London, so he calls me tonight asking me where to go from Kings Cross to get to the Embassy!

(he's got to get on the Central Line and hop off the tube at Marble Arch) But how to get to the central line? I just told him to get on the Picadilly Line, then change to the Central Line at Holborn going toward Oxford Circus and Bond Street... Marble arch being the stop right after Bond Street.... Oh my goodness, I feel like I should be there with him, but instead, I'm his "Phone a Friend" when he's panicked and lost...

That's okay... I'm glad I got tomorrow off work though! I'll need recovery time!

Now that he's off the phone, I see Victoria Line would have been better... That boy needs a map.

Update on the job thing... I didn't get the promotion, so I'll be working the weekend job for extra cash... Riggs won't be able to work in the US for a while, but that doesn't mean he can't sit in the coffee stand with me while I wait for customers!

Hi

Iv to have 2 vaccinations ( MMR n HPV ), i decided to have the MMR done here in the uk by my doctor cause i can get it for free on the NHS, but he wont give me the HPV cause he said i wasnt in the age group (im 23). Me and my fiance decided for me to get HPV in the US but now im regretting it and thinking i should of just got the embasy to do it for £120.

If i get the vaccination here by my doctor or a clinic how do i prove iv had them done?? Like when i adjust my status iv to show proof iv had them done.

I know they changed the rules from December 14th stating that you don't need to have them done anymore...maybe you can get out of it since you'll actually need it for the AOS which is past that date. I'd do some research on it...

Hello

I was wondering if anyone can help me or tell me if they have had a similar experience. I sent in all the forms for packet 3 minus the checklist in Nov and sent the checklist in at the beginning of Dec. Since i have done that i have called 3 times to see if my interview had been scheduled and been told 3 different things:

1. First lady said they had logged packet 3 but had not given me an interview date so there might be a problem, when i asked what problem she said she didnt know!

2. Second lady told me they had not recieved or logged packet 3

3. Yesterday the lady told me that they had sent my packet 3 to me at the beginning of Dec. I told her that was not correct and actually they had sent it beginning Dec and i have sent back all my forms now. She said that the computer was saying that something was missing and then when she looked again she then piped up, 'oh the embassy have sent you a letter as they are missing a document so cannot schedule your interview without it'.

I have sent all the forms that were requested in packet 3. Do you think i should resend them again with a cover note explaining all this? Or do you think i should phone the premium line and ask what is going on?

Im so confused and the only thing i can think is it is because i sent the forms for packet 3 and the checklist seperately that maybe they have lost one of them. Has anyone else had anything like this? I just want an interview date!!

Thanks and Merry Christmas

Lesley

I sent all of my forms (minus checklist) in September. I sent the checklist November 14th and received confirmation from Royal Mail that it had arrived on the 16th. I got an interview date letter around about the 10th December.

From what I can tell from reading other's posts who were at about the same place as I was in my timeline, this is about average time. So, if you sent your checklist to them in early December, it might be that they've just not logged it in yet and it's a little too soon to hear back from them.

If DoS say that the London embassy have sent you a letter, then I'd wait for that. If the letter they sent you has already been posted, it could arrive before Christmas. I wish I could give you some better advice, but all I can do is say that I sent in my checklist seperate from my forms, and it didn't seem to delay things or cause any problems.

In this kind of situation, I think it'd be prudent to shell out the $15 or so to call the embassy and find out what the real deal is on all of this, especially since you've heard so many different things. You can call from the UK or the US and the numbers are listed on the first page of this thread.

But yes, Frosty is right in that in past member's experiences, it can take up to 2 weeks or so for the documents to get logged...

Thank you to both of you, i have waiting now for nearly 3 weeks since sending the checklist and also got told yesterday that they 'supposidly' sent me the letter on the 1st Dec which would definately have got to me as that was nearly 3 weeks ago.

Justine and David - i think i am going to call the hotline and find out the deal, it has been 3 weeks and im worried if i just keep waiting and something is wrong then basically we will put ourselves back even more and its already been 6 months!

Thanks for all the advice.
