All of us that found out our interview dates yesterday only know because we called DOS. I imagine the letters to the British fiance(e)s won't be there for a few more days.

I was just wondering whether that was the case. I think I shall think about trying to give them a call.

Got my interview date letter today. 15th January at 9am.

I'm both extremely excited and very nervous at the same time.

They have received it, they just have not logged it and it took them about 3 weeks to log ours! Basically DOS can only see what is on the screens so if it is not logged then they will tell you London has not received it yet. Give it another week or two and call them back

I knew it would happen---it's exactly five weeks today until my interview, and I'm already fast on my way to becoming a nervous wreck. I'm busy super analyzing absuloubtly everything at the moment.

For those of you still waiting for an interview-hang in there!! Keep calling DoS and trust that your appointment dates will arrive soon.

Phoned the DOS. They've logged it finally which I'm so relieved about! It's been 2 weeks since I sent it in or thereabouts. Got my medical on Monday and so will hopefully receive an interview date soon!

Yeah londons abit scary if you dont know your way, i wasnt to bad my dad drove me down and he is from london so he knows it very well.

You will be fine, they definately are plenty of ppl to ask if you get stuck lol.

Hey guys quick question:

I'm in London heathrow right now (boo hoo! I miss David) and he dutifully showed me his police certificate the long version of his birth certificate.

However...his birth certificate isn't typed up or anything, it's basically just a copy ofi body's very messy handwriting on a nice sheet of paper that says that says that it's notarized. I remember reading back on other people's birth certificates where their parents names were spelled wrong, which made me think that it was all typed up like they are here in the U.S. He said he got it from the website though; can anyone clarify?

the embassy have logged our packed 3, we eligeble for a interview date on the 11.12.09 which has pasted tho n still no date. But they have our forms now Woo hoo lol.

Answering a question for Justine and David.

I dont know if the long form BC should be hand written, as far as im aware they should be typed up on certified paper etc.

I had a few issues with my BC with my mother's maiden name being spelt wrong. I called the local registery office in my birth place town and arranged for a new one to be ordered after the corrections were made. So I would advise David to call up his birth place registery office and ask if his one is suitable and if not he can arrange a new one over the phone for about £7 - £12 it doesnt take long in the post, a few days or so I would say.

I'm getting so nervous! The train tickets are booked, he'll have to be on the train at 4:50 AM (8:50 PM the day before, my time) and then he's off! I'm also waiting to hear whether I got a promotion at work today, which would really change everything, as my days would be different, and the second job that I just got wouldn't be able to work around the new schedule, if I get it... All this stuff is up in the air. If I do get the promotion, I would be moving desks and jobs the Day Before the Interview!!! I hate not knowing so much in such a short space of time! If I don't get it, its allright, but I would be working 7 days a week with the two jobs (more money, much less time to spend together when he gets here) and if I do get the promotion, then no second job, but only working 5 days a week (more time, not as much extra money)... either way its good, kinda... I just don't know!! Riggs says "Now you know how I feel"... This sucks!
