So I have just phoned the NVC and they tell me that they sent everything over to the London Consulate on the 17th Novemeber, any idea how long I have to wait to get confrimation of this? Or if I should call the embassy themselves? I keep getting the automated number as no one will put me through to speak to someone. any suggestions?

Now it is all about calling the DOS.

The number is 202 . 663 . 1225. Press 1 then 0.

Make sure you have your new number that begins with LND and they will ask you for the beneficiaries name.

The NVC assigns the new case numbers. Contact them for the new case number starting with LND. You will use that through the rest of the process

Just to add a quick note i got through to NVC and now have my LND number, so after work looks like I will be calling the DOS number thanks again for all your help guys and grils. I wish I had used Visa journey to post questions earlier on in the process, would have put my mind as so much more ease

I actually think that our package was received by the embassy on the 16th November, so maybe we can hope for something soon.

All of us that found out our interview dates yesterday only know because we called DOS. I imagine the letters to the British fiance(e)s won't be there for a few more days.
