can we be approved at the interview pending receipt of the police certificate, just in case it gets delayed?? or if he doesn't have it at the interview will he be denied? he's got absolutely no record so it should come out "no trace" or whatever..

this is all so hard

You shouldn't get an interview without a police certificate in hand because you can't honestly indicate on the checklist that you have it - and without a complete checklist, you can't have an interview -- see?

K-1:

January 28, 2009: NOA1

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

December 23, 2009: NOA1!

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

ROC:

March 1, 2012: Mailed ROC package

March 7, 2012: Tracking says "notice left"...after a phone call to post office.

Good point Heather. People who get their NOA2 should start gathering the checklist items immediately while the files are going to NVC and London. The point of the checklist is you send it back saying you have each of those items IN HAND and are thus completely prepared for the interview. It doesn't mean you're going to get them and you've ordered tax transcripts. They do that to keep people from coming in unprepared for an approval on the spot. They don't want pending cases where you have to courier additonal documents to them. It bottlenecks the system and makes it slower for everybody waiting on their time.

And to answer another question, I only remember a letter with the appointment date. I believe emails were for people who had last minute changes or other situatons where there was not time to send a letter.

I understand where you guys are coming from in reference to not completing the checklist without having everything, however, we origianally sent our packet 3 minus the checklist because all that we were waiting for was the police certificate. We had emailed to make sure that the police certificate had been received and they emailed back when they would be sending it back and they mailed it back the exact date that they said that they would. We went ahead and sent the checklist not having the police certificate in hand knowing when to expect it. We mailed our packet 3 in on 10/16 and the Embassy did not enter it into the system until 11/2. The checklist was sent in on 10/19 and was not entered in until 11/4. We have now had the police certificate for over 2 weeks and we still do not have an interview date even scheduled yet. I am glad that we did not wait because if we had, we would be waiting even longer...I agree with not sending it in and not having everything ready to go but at the same time, with the amount of time it is taking to get an interview and then add 2 to 3 weeks to that when they finally do get around to scheduling it...that is more than enough time to get everything together...I know a few weeks ago people were getting interviews scheduled very quickly after the Embassy received the checklist and it may get to that point again but right now...its not happening, or atleast for us anyway...

Congrats you too! I know this process has been incredibly hard on you both. Ours will be sent off tomorrow and I have a feeling our interview will be mid-December.

It seems like noone has been getting P4 back lately, does anyone else suspect the London embassy is trying to gather them up so they can arrange a neat schedule?

Our VisaJourney started July 2009 when I mailed the 129-F

Fiance here February 2010, married 10 days later

GC received in the mail 10-Jun-2010

I really don't know what London is doing and it's getting fustrating. It's only a few weeks ago that people were getting interviews within a couple of weeks and since then nothing has been scheduled. It seems that so many of us are now waiting. I called DOS on Monday and the nice lady said "at least a month", I'm hoping this is what they are told to say but I'm wishing that they have a rush and get us all scheduled before Thanksgiving...that gives them 2 weeks to sort themselves out!

Wishfull thinking, I know! Infact as long as I get an interview this year I'll be happy but really I just want to know :)

*Nods in appreciation* I know they just had some holiday, but from what John told me.. it wasn't really celebrated as much as it usually is. Hopefully they will get there _ _ _ _ together and get back on track quickly. Heads Up and smile wide yall!!

I think because he fed'exed and they won't sign for it? That is why I wanted to see if anyone else used fedex and if not what type of mail. I will suggest he send royal mail this time. :)

Neil is in London right now, waiting for his medical to start in about 30 minutes.

Little nervous... :clock:

Just to stick my two cents in about interviews. They do sure seem to be dragging and doing nothing, but a couple weeks ago we were all waiting for them to enter our various packets and apps into the system, and that seemed to happen all at once. So maybe there will be a flood of interview dates.

Historically, with the cases I've watched since March, they tend to swoop in and give you your date just in the nick of time to work with the dates you wrote for your planned travel, right? At least it seems that way. Like they keep track of the date that you're flying, they give you a date a couple weeks before that, and they tell you the date a couple weeks before THAT, if that makes any sense.

Sorry, can't concentrate, medical. It makes sense in my head.:rofl:
