Furniture Shopping in North Carolina

my wife is interested in refurnishing the house. i do not know why. but i digress....

anywhos, doing some research and i've come accross some claims that one can go to north carolina and buy good furniture at a significant price discount. so much that it even covers the cost of flying there, hotel, car rental, yada yada.

anybody know anything about this?

My wife is painting the master bathroom which i think is perfectly okay. I went with her to Lowe's to select the color and paint. Well, yesterday, she was in some mood because the color did not turn out the way she thought it would. yesterday, she went to Lowe's again to pick another color.

Frankly, I don't understand whether a color is cold or hot or whatever. When I go to the john, I go to the john and read. I simply don't look at the wall.

If furniture is so expensive that you can save enough money to cover the expenses of the trip by going to the factory, then it's probably to expensive for my tastes.

There are several places in and around Hickory, NC that are very inexpensive. I got my living room furniture there for $700. It's very good quality furniture and has held up well. I also purchased a bed, two bedside tables, a dresser, a chest of drawers, and a coffee table for about $2000. It was a good price for me. Some places are better than others and have a better quality of furniture. You could certainly find something there in your price range, I'm sure. Good luck with your furniture shopping.

not much really. you are speaking to the handyman. so, really just the cost of materials.

the furniture on the other, now that is gonna cost me a pretty penny. just what the hell is wrong with the living room furniture not matching the dining room furniture?

and the bedroom furnituer is just fine too. i do not see why you would want to replace it.

oh well, aslong as she is happy all is this fine with me.

way cool. How much time do you think one needs to browse / look arond for furniture they have idea on what they want? Essentially by that time we wuld know what style, requirements, etc... so it would be a matter of finding the best deal within our requirements.
