Anyone used the newest I-134?

The old I-134 had to be notarized, however the new one (Oct. 2008) explicitly says it does not have to be and is worded much more strongly than the previous version.

I'm just wondering if anyone has actually used the non-notarized version at their interview? The London embassy's website states that the I-134 should be notarized, but it hasn't been updated since the new version came out. I've emailed them to no avail.

I'd imagine they would have to accept the newest version of the document, filled out according to its directions. My fiance has his interview in less than a week, and naturally I am looking for things to worry about . We decided to forgo the old, notarized document because I couldn't meet up with my cosponsor in time to visit a notary- so I'd like some reassurance that I'm not panicking over nothing.

Many folks have used (successfully) the new I-134 (non-notarization required). Not to worry.

My fiancee has her interview on march 6th, and I sent the new I-134 w/ her to use. I asked the same questions here about it, and I felt pretty assured from others that its fine to use. Its more strongly worded because its more of a sworn statement by you that you will under oath support the beneficiary.

I have my interview on March 6th as well!!!!!!!!!

I am taking both versions with me, as the original notarised one my other half made a slight error on, so I am now in the process of waiting for him to send me the new one, so I will have both bases covered, could not beleive it when I checked the original and he spelt my middle name wrong, I would have thumped him if we were together, sometimes distance is a good thing haha well for him anyway

i used the new one too....so far so good. will keep everyone updated

and i LOVE the new form....so much more less hassle with the notarizing business!
