My husband is here on a K3, he had medical in London to obtain the visa

We are about to apply for Adjustment of Status,

Do we have to go through the medicals again?

our lawyer had my husband get another medical. at the aos interview the officer said...ok i have ur medical now we just have to wait for ur fbi checks. so i guess since she made a remark about the medical...it was a good thing we did get it.

if the medical exam for the K visa was less than one year ago, NO a second medical exam is not needed. If all his vaccinations were up to date and the vaccination supplement was submitted with the medical results, you shouldn't even need another supplement either.

Reba, your K-3 interview was Sept '04 and interview was Feb '06. Did you have to have a repeat medical since it was more than a year old??

No, it goes by when you send in the AOS application, Not when you have the interview.

they sent me an RFE asking for medical again, but we got our state Senator to intervene for us and remind them that I was here with a K3 and had already endured the medical. Turns out USCIS claimed that they had "misplaced" my medical file, but then they "found" it after some prodding. So don't be surprised if you get one as well, but there's no need to cave in and get another medical done if you don't need it.
