I'm about to file my I-751, My daughter and I came on K3 and K4 visas, my US husband adopted my child last Feb. and we applied for her US passport in Nov (got some help from this forum :D) we got her US passport on Christmas eve (yay!), the thing is we just received a reminder for Removal of Conditions(one each), I was supposed to include her in my I-751, but obviously she doesn't need it anymore, I thought USCIS would be aware of her becoming a US citizen, now I don't know what to do or if I should do something about it, I can't help but think (since they obviously don't know anything) they could start removal proceedings against her in her old name. I'm really confused.

No one sends you a reminder for removing conditions - must be your lawyer or someone or something like that. Take another look at the reminder. As far as I know there is no such thing as a reminder from Immigration people - I haven't heard of anything like this yet. Good Luck

Nope, we don't use lawyers,we've done everything by ourselves. It's from USCIS.

USCIS has been starting to send these remainders. I've read other posts where it says they have received them. So yes, they're not from lawyers, but from USCIS.

I would set up an infopass to ask about your concerns because calling them won't help.

Good Luck

My wife and daughter just received a "reminder" from the USCIS that they must file to remove conditions in the 90 day window before expiration of conditional Green Card.

We got a reminder, though it went to our old address, which alarmed me a bit because we were very careful to update our address with USCIS after we moved. Filed the I-751 and evidence, and they received the package today at the Vermont Service Center. Fingers crossed that we'll get transferred to the California Service Center....

I received a reminder letter about 3 weeks before my 90 day window open. It was on a blank white piece of paper, nothing formal like the NOAs with color paper and watermark. It almost even look like junk mail from the envelope because it only has my first name initial and my last name. They didn't put my full name on the letter. So may I ask for the VJers here who received a reminder, if you guys have receive the same kind of reminder like I do?

Their own regulations in the Field Adjudicator's manual states that they are supposed to send out reminder notices. Up until very recently no one ever received one. It seems like they are starting to follow their own regulations and send out notices, which is a good thing since there have been several recent situations where individuals realized near or after the expiry date of their green card that this application was due NOW.
