If someone wants to loan me money at 0% interest for a period of time, who am I to say no?

A significant portion of my income is derived from an annual bonus paid in February of each year. The past three years I have received offers in March for "0% for 12 months". Took 'em all. Used them to level income to some extent, but also to cover investment opportunities that arose.

Interesting that the article states companies have the ability to identify "rate surfers". CITI must not be very good at it. My card issued in March 2007 was ending its 0% rate in March 2008 (paid off the 2007 card before the rate adjusted) CITI sent me an offer for another card - 0%, 12 months, and balance transfer. I even called them to tell them I was a current customer and to verify the offer. The answer - no problem, the card you have is a "preferred" card, the new offer is for a "diamond" card. So back to 0% interest!

Also, virtually every major purchase I have made at Best Buy, Lowe's, Home Depot, etc has been on a 0% interest plan. I have always paid them off before any interest accrued.
